Note: Takes like 30 sec to load because mod replaces some units




I wanted to make a new Rome faction mod since i got a bit better at making animated sprites but also gaining more knowledge on Romes history.




Mod gimmick:

Also a cool little gimmick i'm proud of by using the (Heir Skill) makes it look like your main unit formations are breaking line by line like in total war games.




This mod adds:

-a faction based on the Roman imperial period

-10 faction units

-over 20 neutral units

-6 faction heroes-6 hero skins

-6 skills

-faction town screen

-2 faction buildings


units are slow but quite strong so i recommend playing on higher difficulty


Also might need rogue realm dlc for the 10th faction unit and the 2 faction buildings.

oh that's because the game technically only supports sprites up to 24x24 i got around that by using a line of code that changes the game so i can use larger sprites for the mod, unfortunately larger sprites can clip through reinforcements boxes and other ui stuff that displays the unit,
i know it's quite chaotic but you get used to it over time, hope this answers your question.

I dont mean that they are in rows, but some have giant individual models and some dont. So big that they greatly exceed the size of the unit square in the reuinforcements boxes, for instance.

The bigger sprites are made to look like a formation of many soldiers like in total war games

Small sprites are just individual soldiers that are not in formation.

Why are some of the units massive compared to others?

I usually take some time off when i release a mod but Yes I'm still modding this game and working on updates for my other mods might take some time tho.

i tested it with dlc disabled and it works fine on my end maybe unsub and resub and see if that works also see if mods are enabled in the main menu

do i have to have the dlc to use this. dont see the rome faction
