Douglas-Kalmar TBL-501 (Towbarless Airfield Pushback tractor)

Hi There!

This is my replica of the Douglas-Kalmar TBL-50

To meet the requirements for handling regional aircraft types is an expanding market sector.

The TBL-50 is designed for pushback and maintenance towing of commuter for example: ATR, Dash 8, Embraer, SAAB and even up to B737 as well as A320.
A complete new design and patent for the docking device "cradle" is the base for this tractor.
The force monitoring system (F.A.C.T.®) enables constant and accurate measuring of tow and brake force as well as turn force and angle, thus making it possible to handle commuter aircrafts towbarless with absolute security.

In line with all other KALMAR- TBL tractors the TBL 50 is able to dock without moving or lifting the aircraft.

- Strong transmission and big weight to tow smth med-sized
- Max recommended weight on the lifted hitch - 3-5 ton
- Remember that the seat rotates with the reverse gear, but throttle is not getting inverted
- Its 2x4 WD, so it might be stuck on a non flat terrain
