R.M.S Carpathia (1902) - Small Scale

描述
The R.M.S Carpathia was a Transatlantic Passenger Oceanliner, built for the Cunard Line, she was launched in 1902, and took her Maiden Voyage in 1903, from Liverpool to Boston, she would continue this route before Cunard had her route changed in 1904 to the Mediterranean, She is most well known for her actions in 1912, where on one of her voyages, in the early morning hours of the 15th, she recieved an S.O.S from the R.M.S Titanic, and it was Carpathia that made the mad dash across the sea to get to her, during Carpathia's mad dash she also had a close call with an Iceberg herself once entering the icefield that claimed Titanic, though she avoided the Berg just in time, She rescued over 700 People from the Titanic.

Despite Carpathia being designed with Second and Third Class Passengers in mind, she was still considered quite comfy, and set a bar for the era, and the Third Class areas espaclly were very generous for the time, though in 1905, Carpathia had some First Class areas installed to her.

During her early career at Sea, despite the Ship not being the most Luxrious, or fast, and not having a First Class at all untill 1905, she still got the reputation for being a comfy ship, this was mainly because of her large beam that made her more stable in rough weather.

When the Great War broke out, Carpathia was used to carry Canadian and American Forces to Europe, and among her passengers was a certain Frank Buckles, who was the last surviving American Veterian of the Great War.
in 1918, Carpathia was torpedoed by a German U-Boat, which sunk her.
