[Rythena] AV-10A Puffin II - Tiltrotor Gunship

In 1995 our nation found itself in hot water. This was during the height of the Archipelagic war between us and many other nations. The need for a light gunship for support of ground assets was a necessity by this point, and with the unsuccessful run of the aging imported TR-400A Gunships. These large gunships packed a heavy punch but had become somewhat useless in the modern battlefield due to their use of older missiles. The Puffin II program was started in 1996 and continued until 1998 when the first Puffin IIs were deployed onto the frontlines. Puffins immediately started racking up kills on... fighter aircraft? It’s true, the puffins first kills consisted of fighters and bombers instead of ground units! The gear mounted Aim-120Bs allowed for the ability to kill up to two fighter aircraft in a single attack run! Air-ground kills would come later during the storm on FJ in 2001, these would be scored with the HEPL (High Explosive Projectile Launcher) -04, also nicknamed the “Richter” in reference to the measurement metric used for earthquakes, this name came into fruition when pilots learned to fire the main gun in the AV-10T (Training model), which was lighter than the A variant, making the recoil and rattling of the gun more violent.

Main Gun Arming- Gear must be Folded or deployment will be locked Master Arm must be active Laser/Calculator is Optional Autoloading will activate automatically unless manually activated Tailgun- W/S used for elevation, Azimuth was omitted due to complexity Tailgun Autoload button is near master Arm Aim-9M Will fire when space is pressed after arming Wont work in forward Flight Aim-120B -Deploy Radar -Datalink and Master ON -Arm Aim-120B Fire when WSO signals lock Radar- Very rudimentary TWS (Earliest version) Two Targets can be tracked at once, and their data will save into the radar where the two can be switched out for transmitting to the AMRAAMS A small flag will appear when lock is lost, and signifies last known display location IFF The IFF and Radio are linked under the same frequency and can be cycled from 1-9 using the IFF Panel. The IFF will send allied aircraft a warning if they have locked you or vice versa. The radio will run on the same frequency as the IFF and will automatically send data over the selected frequency that you have cycled to! JATO- Requires Heavy JATO from Rythena JATO Pack Use “U” To Invert when equipping Jato can be activated when the aircraft is overloaded and must have extra thrust to take off Only use when the rotors are tilted partially by holding W and pressing hotkey 3 Aircraft External Fuel Loading (Extra) If the need for more fuel comes to pass you can delete the Aim-9M on the righthand side of the aircraft from the tails perspective, and replace it with an external fuel tank of your choice, or copy the already existing fuel tank onto it.
