Western monarchs' attire is changed from mere military uniforms to formal military dress.
Emperors and kings in Europe and America wear white fur cloaks. Grand dukes or princes do not wear cloaks.
Unique attire added for the Austrian Emperor and crown prince.
German emperor to wear the same unique attire as the king of Prussia.
King and crown prince of Great Britain to wear the blue sash of the Order of the Garter.
Monarchs of Prussia, the North German Confederation, and the German Empire wear the orange sash of the Order of the Black Eagle.
The sovereigns of Russia wear the blue sash of the Order of St. Andrei.
Turkish and Egyptian monarchs to wear unique attire.
Monarchs of Han culture countries will wear a unique attire.

Three types of costumes for generals, officers, and soldiers (POP): Early Period, Late Period, and Great War Period, with costume changes based on technological innovations.
Admirals will have two types of costumes, early and late, and their outfits will change according to technological innovations.
British, French, German, Russian, American, Italian and Austrian generals will have their own military costumes.
Turkish, Persian, Chinese, and Japanese generals will have their own military costumes in the late game.
Generals with the explorer trait wear pith helmets.
Admirals with the explorer trait wear white summer uniforms.

In countries of non-Western cultures, when they become recognized countries or democracies (republics with suffrage for the people), the costumes of leaders and middle and upper class POP are westernized. However, the leaders of religious factions remain in traditional costumes.
With the acquisition of the technology of repeaters and general staff, and if the military system is not feudal, the costumes of soldiers and officer/soldier POPs in Western cultural countries will be of the later period, while in non-Western countries, they will be Western-style military uniforms.
With the acquisition of bolt-action gun technology, generals and officer/soldier POPs become costumes of the Great War period.
With the invention of the torpedo, the costumes of admirals become those of the late period.
