Downloading this should clear any error signs you get, if you see pink and black squares for textures you need Half Life 2! After steam you may encounter more files downloaded, these are added to a Fast-DL fileserver and shouldn't take too long. You may experience lag, dont worry 9/10 times its not crashed, just loading.
