This will probably be the last update to this thing. For those wondering why I cut ending 2-C short, I decided this story needed an ambiguous semi-bad ending just to not seem like a cop out. If I were to attempt this story again I would tell it differently, and I kinda want to in a future mod at some point.
It was an edit that was a long time coming that I wish I'd done sooner. Looking back, there were a lot of amateur mistakes I knew better than to make but did anyway. I think it was just me getting carried away with learning to mod and not having enough of a filter, and also getting back into writing for the first time in over a year.
If I could do it again, I'd certainly have written the whole thing differently. I may return to this one day for another mod that takes the story in a different direction. For now, this is just cleaning up an old project as best I can. It's a relief to have at least edited it one more time after not looking at it for a year.
Remember: no story is ever perfect and flawless. Self-editing is key to growing as a writer.
I forgot I had my profile set to private. I don't even remember why I did that. But it's public again with my workshop submissions and guides posted there.
