描述
We have made a Israel mod that is not fully Biblical OR Historical, it's meant to be flexible roleplaying device. Meaning you can be Merneptah and let everybody know 'Israel is laid waste—its seed is no more' or you can stick it to the man as Israel etc. Judea is added, yes ahistorically, with Dawid as ruler, presenting you the player with a moral dilemma, peace him out, integrate him into your dynasty or just chop his head off. Go Aten, build monotheism or not. What ever floats your boat.

What this mod does?
-Renames the faction Ashkelon to Israel and it's leader to Yehoshua
-Renames Walwetes Goliath and Judea's leader to Dawid with Mesha leading Moab.
(tldr Walwetes, Walwatta, Alyates and Goliath is the same name, just in different languages and periods)
-Renames Factions in Canaan
-Renames Provinces in Canaan
-Renames Settlements in Canaan
-NEW faction units for Israel, praise be Avila!
-New unit cards for Israel's faction units.
-Changed flags, faction colors, especially for Israel and Judea
-Avila says: Submod for double unit sizes here
-Kendji says: Monument hotfix here

Why this mod?
People has kept requesting, frankly fighting each other, over an CA added Israel faction, or not getting an Israel faction. Despite nobody being able to agree with one another, this mod has been made for those wanting an Israel Faction, keeping in mind the ability to play different alternatives of a Israel.

Compatibility?
No guarantees though, but effort has been made to ensure an large enough compatibility as possible.

Do you happen to use the the Character traits expanded mod? You have to marry an non-family general into the family tree.

Thanks for the mod dude its been so fun. Out of curiosity, is there no way to have an heir etc? I can't seem to appoint a general, and idk if its me not knowing how to play this game or the mod lmao. im using faction selector as well and using david, maybe thats it? thx again love the mod

Hey man, I'm about to try out the mod. I'm sure it's great. Who cares what people say/ As a Christian its nice to see God in this game one way or another, God bless

For a more historically focused mod, check out the Kendji's Flavour Pack. For an Religious or modern political version, pls ask a different modder to make that or diy it. :) On an personal level, I'm done making this stuff for others just to be nice to ppl, for free, just to have a bunch of one-sided demands, insults, political assumptions or what have you made, its more trouble than its worth, the gaming community has shown that. I made this mod originally bc ppl were asking for it on the forums, and ppl were asking for leaders like King David to be at the helm, meaning ppl were asking for an pop-historical/religious/mythical version of Israel to begin with.

Technically they could be connected with the Pylian province pe-ra-a-ko-ra-i-ja, one possible rendering Pelaagoija. This can be found in Linear B dictionaries. See how Homeric 'Pelasgia' and different renderings of Peleset are on Wiktionary. Same with Ysriar, there is vivid 'debate' within scholarship of the location of 'Yriar', anywhere from Ashkelon, Megiddo, Schechem to north of Gezeer somewhere. Most people who comment here don't even know what Ysriar is. Applying modern terms of Israel and Palestine to these is pretty daft tbf. Each has evolved in geography, culture, language, religion, values etc. over this 3200 years. That said, this mod isn't the historical portrayal, neither the religious or political one. The description above say in plain text "roleplaying device".
