I checked yeahhhh it's make the universe a cuter place, it even warns about mods like colorbound sorry that's my bad. For others having this issue (unless someone patches it) can temporarily uninstall cuter universe, do the colouring, then resub to it and the colour will stay.

You don't need preview images. By now, everybody knows it's gonna be good.
