Thursday Island Improved V2

描述
THURSDAY ISLAND!!!

TL;DR, I added missing School/Food/Services buildings, and implemented the missing WW2 Hill Fortress.

This Australian Island off the coast of Queensland and Papua New Guinea is the PERFECT size for IFZ, almost exactly three kilometres across! A tiny unbuilt stretch of the northwest coast is cut off, but 99% of the island appears in the playable area, but of course you won't have a chance of sending your crew on expeditions...

That's where my edits to the map come in!

Many businesses, services and other buildings of note have not been given their proper designation in IFZ. Only about 10% of the buildings which are schools/libraries/colleges in real life are shown as such ingame, and the story was similar with all other services. But NOT ANY MORE!

By combing through the entire island block by block, I have added every single relevant building that was missing. Wherever buildings are not represented properly ingame, I just put an appropriate service on the nearest available building to the real-life location.

And then there's another surprise... Thursday Island is home to a World War 2 Australian defensive fortification known as "Green Hill Fort". Since earth-mounds aren't currently represented in game, I've used medieval city walls in their place. The structure is subterranean, which is also impossible to represent ingame, so I've made buildings on the surface to represent the bunker beneath.

Enjoy!

Nice!!! If you do a V3, there's a quasi workaround you can do for earth-mounds. You can set up height 6 buildings that are very thin to function as walls. Going to give this a whirl now, woo hoo!

Very nice was looking at doing the same thing for a few other smaller Australian areas, hard part its trying to get any of the buildings to look Australian
