描述
Towards "mission" type gamemodes - Trying to push the Ground Branch code to get R6 / Rogue Spear style missions for Ground Branch. (full description available on nexus - https://www.nexusmods.com/groundbranch/mods/625 - but it won't save on steam)

This is very much a work in progress and it is pushing the ai and the current lua coding far beyond what BFS currently intend.

Mission Briefing - use the ready room board and the laptop.

Extraction - green smoke will only activate once you are close to the extraction

Hostages - basically civs (cannot put the hoods on and lead them around anymore)

AI OpFor Squad System - Opfor within each squad will check in with each other and squads check in (silently as we can't get the ai to talk) with opfor commander periodically. If BluFor, dead bodies detected then will escalate the situation.

The October 2025 intel report came out which indicated that the lua system for gamemodes will be stopped shortly. I'm not sure what that means for the gamemode at the moment.

Yeah, that is happening with all custom gamemodes at the moment. I have reported it and hopefully it will be addressed as part of 1035.2 (sometime later this year hopefully).

Awesome mod with nice missions! However for me it seems to be crashing the game, when exiting. Typically it freezes at Main Menu and does not allow to shut down GB.

New update.
First pass for Ranch map focused on the main building.
Added code to prevent immediate clicking on the map and starting after the finish of a round.

New update rolled out. First pass to stop the opfor shooting the hvt and the hostages but unfortunately can't have hostages on the map anymore and all modes are HVT modes until BFS fix some of the stuff which was broken for 1035.

Please cross your fingers that BFS fixes the stuff that they broke for 1035.2 so we can have the hostages on the map again.

the things you make are pretty amazing. played your other one that has outpost, intel retrieval and something else and it was really good. this is also a lot of fun to play. will be super fun once you get the laptop locations sorted out and fix the ai shooting the hostages / hvt's at start. also i did not see power plant on here and hoping it makes its way into this one day because that would be so much fun.

idk if this is doable but when set to random missions would be cool if it was more random. sometimes it would give hostages and sometimes none. same for hvt's, bombs and intel. not knowing if you gonna just get one objective all the way up to all of them would be super neat. but idk what this games like to make this mod and you are already pushing really far it seems so if not doable would understand.

The update that just rolled out was only a partial fix to get the new AI kits in and a first pass check for laptop locations (to check that there was space for the laptop hack). Some of the lua functions were broken in 1035 and BFS have yet to fix them (they were also broken at the start of 1034 and then broken again) which means that the standard ai will shoot the hvt and hostages at the beginning of the round. I've also got to check ai placement due to map changes in 1035.

Mod has yet to be updated to 1035. Issues are
- ai kit files need to be updated.
- Some of the function used have been broken and the devs have yet to fix them otherwise the ai will start shooting at each other during the spawning in time.

Will be a few more weeks as working on the other gamemodes in other mods.
