AEGIS MOD, EXPEDITIONARY FORCES, WESTERN SAHARA & REACTION FORCES CDLC COMPATIBILTY UPDATE!!!
If you own the Expeditionary Forces CDLC, Western Sahara CDLC and/or Reaction Forces CDLC, compatibility configs will be auto-loaded and my real name changes will take into effect.

Arma 3 Realistic Names [UPDATED]
This project aims to provide a small mod that changes the names of Weapons, Vehicles and Gear in Arma 3 to their real life names. Since this is a feature of ACE3 already, this mod makes use of it by simply stripping it out and distributing it standalone. The difference is that this will be a more up-to-date version than from the Standalone realisticnames module from ACE3 as this version includes my own additions to support other mods as well. This mod requires Arma 3 and the latest version of CBA A3.

Disclaimer
I am not the original author of this mod (blackfisch is). However, the Original RealisticNames mod by blackfisch is no longer being updated as the repository has been archived by the owner on Jul 3, 2022 and there still isn't an automated build system.

So I've taken the reins where all future builds and additions to the mod will be done by me.

Could the Mi-48 and Mi-290 be renamed Ka-48 and Ka-290? Since russian coaxial-rotor helicopters are realistically only made by Kamov.

Mil (Mi-) has never made a coaxial-rotor helicopter.

Added compatibility patches for ADDGIS, RUSSA2035, JAMASIA, AXLE EXPEDITIONARY FORCES and a few others. Will do another patch to rename some stuff I missed this weekend.

@ElPedroChicoRaulAlfonsoTejada I think I've attempted to rename those in the files (as ace3 team did) but the changes wouldn't apply for some reason. I'll see about trying it again next time. :jake::steamthumbsup:

Additionally, renaming the Scalpel missiles to Hellfire instead of Vikhr would be appreciated.

As the Scalpel model is based on the Hellfire missile

Jets DLC pylons don't have realistic names yet

For example BIM-9X should be AIM-9X Sidewinder
And AMRAAM should be AIM-120 AMRAAM

Just released a new RF, WS CDLC & AEGIS real names update!
*Thanks to Axle for the initial work.

> Rotators Collective released new updates to Reaction Forces and Western Sahara CDLC. Renames are up-to-date with the new content.
> AEGIS received updates (alongside ATLAS and ATLAS - OPPOSING FORCES). This update also keeps up-to-date with the new content.
