Small Healing (Vscript)

描述
This mod allows survivors to heal small amount of health simply by cancelling the healing process. Survivors can still do normal healing like usual, as this is only an additional small feature. Each small healing consumes 1 Small Healing Point & once the Small Healing Point reaches 0, medkit will be removed.

Here are the mechanisms of "Small Healing":
  • Each time a survivor cancels a healing, +1 health will be healed.

  • The target of healing can be the medkit owner or other survivor.

  • Notifications about the remaining Small Healing Points are shown when Small Healing Points reach 80, 60, 40, 20, 10, & below 5.

  • Bots usually stop using small healing when health is around 70. This is only available if "Auto Small Healing" feature is enabled.

  • The normal healing still has same effect as original even if the Small Healing Points are reduced to 5 or lower. So, you can use a tactic to only use normal healing when Small Healing Points are almost all used.

  • Small Healing Points can be replenished to max depending on the value set on "Small Healing". To replenish, press E, pick other medkit or shove a medkit when you're still holding a medkit in hands.

  • Small Healing Points are reset to max on each round.

  • Small Healing Points can reset "black & white" state when healing until health is 70.

There are 2 features available in "small healing.txt" cfg file:
  1. Small Healing: This controls how many Small Health Points remaining until Small Healing Points can be replenished. Default value is 10.

  2. Auto Small Healing: This control whether a survivor can use small healing simply by holding FIRE button or just manually clicking FIRE button. The value affects which type of survivor can use this feature (bot only, player only, or all). "Auto Small Healing" is stopped automatically when Small Healing Points are only 10 points left.

With this mod, you & bots can save medkits a bit longer.

@Rixk , that would be too OP. You can replenish Small Healing Points by doing the last 3rd step on the mechanisms on the description. Or if you're low on Small Healing Point, don't use small healing until you find another medkit or defib. Re-picking the dropped medkit when low on Small Healing Points should replenish Small Healing Points to max.

Can you make it so that I don't remove the first aid kit when the stitches run out and they simply can't be mini-healed anymore?:summercat2023:

@kurochama no worries! ill probably try my hand at modifying this version once i figure out the hands mod if thats okay :steamthumbsup::steamhappy:

@Kouga , it's possible, but it's just too much of work for now. I still don't feel like updating some older mods as well as adding new features unless there's a bug that can ruin the game. I'm still focusing on mods that I uploaded lately, including the "Brawler Survivors".

no worries, in that case how about a few other suggestions for features:

1) a setting that turns off replenishing small healing points
2) a setting that modifies how much health is given per small healing point (maybe give it minimum & maximum parameters to give the choice of gaining random amount per point)
3) a setting that lets us choose between gaining permanent health or temporary health, or a random option
4) optional turn off chat notification

if implemented id probably use this mod to give medkits only 2 unreplenishable small healing points, and i will get a random amount of temporary health each time i consume a point. since its only two healing points i would need to have chat reminding me as well. what do you think?

@Hazel & @Kouga , doing that requires a timer, & tick speed on a timer is more complicated & harder to tap the left click just to chip very small amount of healing (like, one click via timer may consume healing points much faster than using that heal-cancel loop via event functions).

i agree with @Hazel, its a bit janky using auto small healing when the heal animation just spam/cancels

I noticed, but it would look better if the self healing animation was looping instead of spam/cancel which looks weird :c
