Penguin Petes' added a new addition to his catalog, a ship made to explore planets (but not space encounters)!

Possible Bugs
If your ship is still there despite deploying it back to your main ship, or you cant drive your ship, then use this command with your cursor pointing at the ship

A crash may happen during teleporation but it's usually rare and always harmless.

What you need to know
Penguin Pete sells 5 new products, as seen in the image below.

The Ship Controller is your primary item. This enables you to deploy your Planetary Ship, as well as manage its current state alongside fuel and customizability.

Ship Chips are addons to modify the background of your Planetary Ship. They contain unique themes that add style to your Planetary Ship. While two are sold by Penguin Pete, the rest (and significantly more valuable chips) are found throughout the universe by rare chance.

Ship Fuel is the fuel source required to keep your Planetary Ship running. If fuel runs out, you are immediately teleported back to your main ship, unable to deploy your Planetary Ship unless it is fueled above 0%.

Custom Race Support
This is a template mod (<< Link) that allows for simplified ship integration for your custom race. Otherwise, the ship will default to a generic ship if there isn't a specified ship implemented for your custom race.

Now then, you're prepared to roam the planets the way you expected!
