Finally in full release!

Includes two new factions and an a new ecology for the reworked environment. Bulls, goats, raptors, wolves and spiders will bring more diversity to the previously sparsely populated Dreg. New weather also includes duststorms, thunderstorms and thunder-duststorms. With these changes, Dreg should prove an inviting, yet rough environment for players seeking a wild west feel.

The first major faction is the Homestead Union, a band of farmers who have banded together to form their own government. They have an elected president, marshal, and local sheriffs. The marshal has patrols to fight off the local bandits called the Yeehaw Outlaws, notorious for shouting yeehaw while caving your head in. These bandits all have small bounties for players seeking another source of income.

---- RECRUITS UPDATE ----
Two new recruits have also come into being, Abigail and Cornwood. Cornwood and Abigail both have unique dialog when traveling with a squad.

---- SEASONS UPDATE ----
Seasons are a thing in Dreg! Not rainy or dry seasons, but a deeper season system based on our own (spring, summer, fall and winter). Expect more rain in spring, duststorms in summer, tame yet varied falls, and cloudy winters. Each season is only 25 days, due to Kenshi's years only lasting 100.

---- MANIFEST DESTINY UPDATE #1 ----
The Homestead Union has it's own research facility (a repurposed ancient lab) looking to solve the deadhive of Mongrel. South of the Research Facility is the "Deadhive," where the "Fog King" can be found. Deliver his head to the research facility and the fogmen's numbers will be greatly reduced. Mongrel will also regain some of it's lost farms in the process, with cowboys from the Homestead Union coming to aid in the rebuilding. Two new overrun farm towns are added for said rebuilding.

That's right, destroying the Homestead Union might not be such a good idea after all, you bunch of murder hobos.

---- CLOTHING UPDATE ----
Four additional clothing options added. "The Cornwood," Authority Hat, Militia Boots, and the Dust Bandana.

• "The Cornwood" is a large Authority Hat with stormgoggles. Authority. Are ya respectin' it yet?
• The Authority Hat is a reshaped (and now leather) Ashland Hat with a tacked on star.
• The Militia Boots are a less funky cowboy boot for more casual wear. Same stats, more functional design.
• The Dust Bandana is a new bandana that you equip in the belt slot. It does NOT hide your hair, OR replace your hat! Keep that cowboy hat on while you're robbing shopkeepers ;)

---- HAT WEARING UPDATE ----
The community spoke, and I delivered! More hats, meshed and textured by myself. We are now one step closer to no longer needing Cowboy Closet!

---- CORN UPDATE ----
Corn. Just corn for now. Tobacco is planned for future updates.
Corn is edible without cooking, making it the perfect crop for those without a dedicated cook. You can also carry 4 in a stack, or turn it into animal feed to keep your animals fed for a REALLY long time. It is very cheap and easy to grow, making it a great starting food source.

---- TOBACCO UPDATE ----
Every respectible cowboy smokes. Cigarettes, cigars, pipes... Now you too can enjoy the pain of a crippling nicotine addiction, or sell said cigarettes to further the addictions of others. Cigarettes and cigars improve focus, making aiming crossbows easier. Setting up your own tobacco plantation for profit is a new (LEGAL) way to rake in the cash, without the risk of nosey guards coming to ruin it all. Cigarettes are overall less profitable than hashish, but are much faster to create, AND can be packaged for bulk sales.

---- (HUTCH "PLANNER LINDE) UPDATE ----
Hutch "Planner" Linde is added as a brand new recruit, found in the Yeehaw City bar. He has a bounty of 25,000 cats, and will join the player for 50,000 cats. His thievery stats are incredibly high, and he offers robbery tips depending on your squad's location. He will often point out the most profitable areas for you to rob.

• Hutch "Planner" Linde added to Yeehaw City.
• Banks added to Cattleman City, Westwood, and Cliffstone. (players can shop there, too)
• Brand new Cattleman City police attire. (respect their authority)
• Cattleman City police are MUCH stronger and more numerous than the other, smaller, towns.
• Yeehaw City will now become Homestead Union property under the right circumstances.

---- THE GOLD UPDATE ----
Raw gold nodes have been added, and can be mined for profit. Gold is incredibly heavy, but just as valuable. Gold can be found around Obedience, The Crater, Arach, Shun, Venge, Sonorous Dark, The Pits, and Stobe's Gamble. (If it's a dangerous hellhole, you'll likely find gold there...) Gold can be bought at the Cattleman City bank, and sold to the eastern United Cities for a larger profit.

• Goatrunners (traveling "merchants" dealing in stolen goods)

---- THE GOLD REWORK ----
Gold nodes no longer drop ore, but nuggets due to our new addition of gold panning. If there's no gold near you, you can now pan for it at a reduced rate. Gold bars are also now more valuable, and can be turned into jewelry to sell at a higher profit. Gold and leviathan pearls can be combined into necklaces, or just use gold alone. There's also gold caravans (as a separate faction so you don't ♥♥♥♥ up relations) in United Cities territory that the player can rob.

---- PENANCE UPDATE ----
The Homestead Union is no longer a beacon of morality, but an immoral shade of grey in an overall darker world. Openly opposing slavery, yet holding a secret penitentiary of stolen hivers called "Penance," this will make them a more gritty, Western inspired faction. Open prejudice will also remind the player of the Homestead Union's background from the Holy Nation. That's right, they hate you just as much, but will actually tolerate you. Also has minor patches to post-cure Blackroot and Deadbloom to make them more viable/fitting.

---- FINAL ATTIRE UPDATE ----
NO MORE COWBOY CLOSET REQUIREMENTS! And thus, the community roared in applause.
...also minor bug fixes and hat texture tweaks...

---- PRESIDENTIAL UPDATE ----
Adds in a note to the Yeehaw City HQ that players can steal to unveal the sitting President Hayes' corruption. With the note, the player can present it to either the Marshal, or to one of the many Sheriffs. Doing so will result in a new president being selected, complete with the benefits and consequences of doing so. Shek-aligned players should side Sheriffs, Holy-aligned players with the Marshal.

---- FLAGS UPDATE ----
Added dialog to the new presidents, lights to Cattleman City, and the Homestead Union flag to applicable places.

---- MANIFEST DESTINY UPDATE #2 ----
Raptor Island and Floodlands towns added. Meet the worldstate criterea and they will thrive under the Union!

Another mod of mine for that would be the Meth Mod- adds in meth, meth production, and the production of it's required chemicals and precursors. CID's in a pretty good spot in terms of content, and I'd rather it remain consistent. There's even a patch for it to function more compatibly for CID.

Hello again. I was just saying that more variety in illegal goods would be cool. Right now, the only illegal items in the game are opium and hashish. Tobacco is also a kind of highly profitable, mind-altering substance, you know? It’s legal in our world, but the world of Kenshi is a bit harsher and more brutal.)
I mean, if we're going for balance, you could even make gold contraband. Like, illegal mining, smelting, and selling — makes sense, right

The problem is the addition of gold as well, so the economy is already kinda too wonky to balance. Not that Kenshi's economy was ever balanced, though. Hash running through Flats Lagoon and all.
The way I see the tobacco stuff is it's like rum, but with bigger trade mults.

Hi. I have a suggestion - maybe we should make tobacco production and the tobacco itself illegal (like opium and hashish)? Just to keep the balance, so that there wouldn't be a way to quickly make some quick cash.
