Targeting System Upside Down Version

描述
Targeting System
This is the upside down version of my latest targeting system (radar and laser designator). It tracks targets using the deprecated radar witch means it is not affected by chaff nor noise. It also has a laser designator to lock on to static targets or terrain if you wish.


Info
WASD controlled.
1: Lock target
2: Manual mode
3: Aim mode
4: Trim mode
5: System power (press first to start system)
For inserting target coordinates manually simply enter the coordinates. Note they must not be the same coordinates as the previous insertion.

Features
  • Noisless (not shaky data like new radar)
  • Anti chaff
  • Laser and radar designation (laser for terrain or static targets)

    Composite channels for those who would like to extend the system with your own or others. NOTE the ... roll yaw and pitch are input channels 4,5 and 6 respectivley on the physics sensor:

  • Output- "Target data": Number Channels: 1:Target X 2:Target Y 3:Target Z 4:Target mass 5:Radar turret X 6:Radar turret Y 7:Radar turret Z 8:Radar turret roll 9:Radar turret yaw 10:Radar turret pitch Bool Channels: 1:Has target

Hello. It makes me happy to hear that you have enjoyed my creations. Regarding your question I belive I made this seperate creation due to simply having an premade upside down version can be usefull and I did not want to combine them in the same creation. Converting to an upside down version can be confusing as one has to reverse all the pivot axies, camera and keep the physics sensor up right. You have a good point however. I might re integrate the setting for this in my next version. One would still need to flip the camera around to keep the sky up howerver. As there is no way to rotate the video signal without physical rotations. Cheers!

I'm grateful for the opportunity you've given all of us to be able to use your systems; I just wonder why the upside-down and the right-side-up versions are separate workshop items. On your V2 system there was a property toggle in the microcontroller for setting whether or not the camera was upside down. I'm not trying to nitpick the decision as it's really not any inconvenience, I'm just curious about why. Thanks again for allowing so many of us to create awesome creations using the systems!
