The Deranged Industries
proudly introduces:
Better Storage Pods.


Updated to include IO storage pods.


This is a standalone version of my better storage pods.
Do not use with my rebalance mod. This alteration is included.


This mod adds tiered, and faction based storage pods to career. These were created by utilizing segments of each factions trade ships. This ensures look/feel, and design philosophies match.
  • New faction based storage pods.
  • Tiered, to ensure rewards grow with progression through career mode.


NOTICE:: Due to incompatibility with new faction mods, storage pods currently do not spawn using the local faction weights. This is something I wish to resolve, but have yet determined how to default to generic storage pods in the event the local faction does not have faction specific storage pods available.

At the moment, this mod is outdated with the current last update of the game.

Yes, you can add it to current saves. It will only take effect once you jump to a system you've not been to yet though.

I would assume not and I going to test it anyway, but can this mod be added to running saves even though I'm literally the only person who's going to add it to a current save?

@Dahak, you need to grind them down. They should then drop all their contents

Any way to give them an airlock so you can actually loot the things? More often than not I find the storage pods drop one or two things and thats it.
