Aviation club aircraft

US Navy F-14D Tomcat carrier fighter jet. F-14 is the first carrier-based 4th generation fighter jet, and is responsible for long range air superiority/escort/interception mission. The swept wing design provides high maneuverability at all flight envelope , combined with large radar and AIM-54 long range missile , the Tomcat protected the US Carrier since 1972 till 2006. All F-14 are retired in US Navy, but some still operated by Iranian Air Force. This model uses VF-31 Tomcatter livery during the last combat deployment in 2006.

I had the honor of maintaining all variants ( A, A+, B, B Upgrade or BUG, and Super "D": Tomcat.) of this magnificent, menacing, military masterpiece. As an Aviation Electronics Technician/ Plane Captain in Squadrons VF101 "Grim Reapers" and VF11 "Red Rippers", 2001-2005, countless hours were spent Launching, recovering, and troubleshooting this ruthless war-bird.

And who better to bring the baddest, DARE I SAY, "BEST"... 2 tailed "KIttie with claws", to the workshop than the most excellent military aircraft asset creator... WTigerTw!!

You truly have captured the unequaled power, beauty, and ferocity of this formidable 4th generation battlecat.
You are a true master craftsma, I salute you.

So, here's to you, maestro WTIGERTW, for your selfless sacrifice bequeathing this humble detailer with this and all of your exquisitely crafted digital sculptures. BRAVO ZULU, SHIPMATE!
