描述
Ultrahotmod is the ultimate mod expansion pack for playing Hotmod1968, West 81.

ACTIVATION

1 - Activate hotmod 1968 - click apply, then restart game.
2 - Activate west 81, then Activate Ultrahotmod - after you have Activated the mods in this order click apply

Pay attention to activate West81, and Ultrahotmod at the same step in this order so it does not crash, if you try to activate it in any other order it will crash.

It is an expansion pack adding more stuff to the mod, including about +200 tanks. It also utilises stock game assets to increase the early Cold War lineups for NATO and the Warsaw Pact.

The mod has Artillery Nuclear Shells for Americans and Soviets, and Also Soviets have Tactical ballistic Nuclear Missile. There is also Mark III and RDS-4 nuclear airstrikes and B41 25MT and Tsar Bomba 50MT airstrikes too.

The mod also has currently Mustard gas Lewisite gas, Sarin gas and VX gas shells for both Americans and Soviets. So you have a lot of stuff to play with.

It has been balanced to be a bit easier than French NATO but has a similar amount of troops with increasing difficulty throughout the campaign, which has two days for one year, meaning the campaign starts in 1945 and continues to 1990. You will get new equipment and infantry introduced at their approximate entrance times and decommissioned, so the USA starts with Sherman tanks and Pershings, and they get gradually phased out over time. There is ofcourse the french division with some strange prototypes and also german division that gradually morphs from wunderwaffe to the cold war west germans.

The Warsaw Pact start with a bunch of prototypes and T-34/85 tanks, and you have more tanks to research and encounter. The Warsaw Pact currently contains Finnish units for cold war as a single division so you have 25% chance of facing the finnish division. the finnish division will be lacking on tanks but they will have alot of good infantry and lots of artillery.

Then there is a French faction, West German faction, PRC faction, Polish faction, American faction, Finnish faction. There is basically almost too many units on some of the majors. You can expect most of the cold war prototypes and variants to exist. some do not but majority should be,

The mod will take approximately 2-15 minutes to load into a battle it will depend on your hardware, amount of RAM on your pc and do you use SSD or HDD but generally on my end i load with SSD in 1min 45 seconds for Warsaw Pact vs NATO on conquest. ie on a 2020 high end PC so 2025 Midrange PC. on skirmish it will take 4-5 mins due to it lacking the conquest optimisations, WARSAW VS NATO takes longest, and the battles last 45 minutes for defence and similar for attack or shorter.

Mod might suffer from occasional crashes and bugs depending on has someone else updated any mods im relying on or if i broke something but I will strive to fix all reported bugs on the bug report page.

WARNING: the mod might contain various bugs and missing descriptions and icons but should be playable without crashing. im working to fix them all so if you find any remember to report.

Due to the size of the mod its not recommended to run it with max texture quality and model quality since it will potentially use more than 32GB of ram using so medium model and medium texture quality should let it load without consuming all the memory.

If you dont have 32-64GB of ram you can use the Mini Factions instead of NATO or Warsaw Pact. But with new conquest optimisations you should be able to play the mod just fine with 32GB, 16GB might need the SSD paging file trick potentially.

The mod most likely has no compatibility with any other mods outside of the 4 mods required to run it due to it being somewhat of a branchoff from west 81

I use a mix. usually. since most of the vehicles have similar armour values, and then adjust it based on multiple sources usually. ie generally on vehicles that have alot of data i stick to what the actual data is as much as its possible. some things are more fantastical but that is mostly just german wunderwaffe at points.

Anything else is about as close as possible ie this centurion turret should be 127mm. the problem is that game does not actually tell the armour ID and i think i should make a suggestion to modify the armourviewer in editor to show that so i can easily make the thicknesses without loading it to soedit.

Oh wow. I guess it's understandable, given WOT needs to balance stuff in their own game. I usually check the numbers from Tank Encyclopedia website. They even have some experimental vehicles with data and all.

i did infact look more to it and its 127mm on the turret armour. and i know that from where it is. so in WOT they buffed the turrets to 254mm ie 2x the value at somepoint so someone has looked at that and put it at 254mm at somepoint, even if its only 127mm.

Depending on the faction you have access to 320mm+ Heat shells and etc. Maus is very tanky unless you have 320+mm pen on HEAT, it takes until early 1960s to get that kind of penetration on tanks consistently.

So on that situation you either split the atom or use chemical weapon against them.

or heavy artillery of 150mm+ caliber, since i remember you might have been the person who dislikes artillery the mod is meant for you to use everything available. ie just infantry and tanks is not enough.

Only the german heavies and soviet mediums and MBT's can be hard to pen until early 1960s, after that you have means to bypass any armourthickness. Secondarily most tanks do not have more than 120mm on the side.

That is the prototype one, its not the MK1 that has the other armour, secondarily game reports the highest armourvalue, not the overall armourvalues. ie it can have microspec of 254mm of armour. and it still reports it at 254mm instead of 127mm.

I looked over the turret and the whole frontpart was 254mm so i stopped it to 152.4mm someone had tweaked the armour higher at earlier port given its a ported vehicle.

@EmperorOfFinland I've found the error about the armor thickness of Centurion A41 (20mm). For the turret, it's supposed to have 127mm like the other variants, instead it has absurdly 254mm of armor.

Also, the WW2 British units still cannot be resupplied by other supply trucks other than their own British one.

Armor/penetration system is a bit busted lol (too much armor/not enough pen) but overall good mod.

@EmperorOfFinland I have something about the Japanese super heavy tanks.

Is the Type 5 supposed to have only 6 crews, instead of the 8 crews like the previous Type 4? I think due to the lack of crews the Type 5 takes ages to reload its main cannon.

You can continue the conquest after any campaign length so you select new campaign and it continues off again.
