EA Sssla, Caverns of Filth v1.0b

Sakkra are a reptilian race descended from the trilarians, who were banished from the sea in the distant past. These scaly humanoids adapted to the land and gradually lost their ability to breathe water. While living in the caverns where the ancient Pale Ones were dumping all their refuses, the sakkra embraced the 'adapt or die' philosophy. Those who succumb to disease were considered weak, but those who adapt to it and gain immunity to it were considered to be strong. The weak were not considered hopeless - they always could be given a chance to try and adapt again. In these same caverns the Sakkra met and allied the otyughs and fearsome gulguthydras. These disease carrying hydras became sacred to the people of Sssla, for they spreaded the disease and helped to separate the weak from the strong.

This nation and its counterparts in other ages are very loosely based on the Sakkra race from the Master of Orion series.
