So you've gone and worked on your mining operation but you quickly came to one conclusion; it's annoying bringing the heavy and slow machinery to the mineral.

How about we bring the mineral to the slow and heavy machinery instead?

That's right, the brand new Kriger 777-D DrillScraper is built just for that!

Thanks to its Twin Engine, the 777-D has a top speed of 65km/h and can quickly reach those mineral deposits and once there rapidly switches one of its engine to drilling while the other one is for driving.

Equipped with 4 drilling heads, the 777-D can get through mineral deposits in no time and there's plenty of space in the bowl with its impressive 7 777units of mineral that can be filled in. When full, drive back to your loading machinery and eject the material on the ground for them to take over!

She might not look like it but the 777-D makes drilling and mining a very quick and efficient way to make money! Some call it a money multiplier!

Operation:

Go to the rear of the machine and start the first engine, you'll find the Ignition key painted bright yellow
Go into the cab and start the front engine

Now here's where the magic is; use LEFT and RIGHT to switch the rear engine to either Driving or Drilling. If you leave it neutral then the rear engine will not be quite efficient enough to reach top speed.

Use UP and DOWN to change the bowl height relative to the ground

Use the lever on your right to raise or lower the Apron. this protects the drilling heads when not in use

With the rear engine set to Driving, go to a mineral deposit then stop and position the drills over it.
Raise the Apron, lower the Bowl, switch the rear engine to Drilling and engage the Drills. On your right, just outside the cab you'll see a gauge. If it starts to climb you're doing it right. If not, lower the bowl a bit more.

When done, disengage the drills, switch to rear engine Drive, lower the Apron, raise the bowl and drive back.

Once at your unloading location just hit the Ejectors and watch all that future money pour out the sides of the 777-D

Author's Note:
This is inspired by a real world Cat 637D powered scraper however since there isn't really any scraping gameplay in the game I figured drilling minerals might be more fun and useful.

In the real world those machines turn very tight because the tractor bit is able to turn on its axis thanks to hydraulics. I found that the game just doesn't like that so it's a bit less realistic in that it doesn't have that feature but it drives a thousand times better so to me it was worth it.

If you're wondering what the big loop and springy weight thing is in front well it's just a feature the real machines have; if you have two of those, one can hook to the back of the other and both work in a push and pull configuration. I don't think we have patches of mineral that would make this push and pull method practical in the game but still, the feature is there.

@Celtic thank you :) I took a much needed break from Stormworks but now it seems I'm having fun again. I'm currently working on a big walking dragline excavator. Well as big as I can fit in the FJ Warner spawner

Glad to see you're back active - hoping to see what else you've got up your sleeve
