At the request of Jwan, Ive ported my map to SFM.
At the cost of needing to remove the crimson_vines, and many map locations.
But at least some cool stuff remains?

I've found an old HL2 DM map called "dm-schrottplatz-map-v7" that was uploaded to ModdB back in May 15th, 2008. But for some reason I couldn't download it off of ModdB for no reason and the stupid error message says that the mirror via isn't available no more and I have to wait 5 minutes which is stupid and I hope the zip file isn't gone forever which I hope not so I'm wondering if any of you guys can download this map for me because I can't so here's the link! https://www.moddb.com/games/half-life-2/addons/dm-schrottplatz-map-v7
I hope the author didn't remove the via mirrors, he'd better not of. I really want to checkout this map so bad! :steamsad:

I understand the struggle Fandroid-Fan25, if you can, try the method below if you have a .vmf laying around. If it works you can delete what you just uploaded, and try again with the maps you actually wanted uploaded (I know its an unorganized mess, but I reached the character limit.)
I guess I could do it myself, but I'd rather only my own maps be on my workshop. Give me a year, and i might do it

-Delete old and place down a new info_player_teamspawn
-Run/compile the map. It should open SFM. Create a new session, (Name doesnt matter) map should load within a few minutes or less. if you are waiting for 10+ minutes, then something must have gone wrong and im sorry.
-Then follow the video to upload it to the workshop.

Here is what I did differently:
-I already made the map in another hammer (Hammer++), and created the .vmf file.
-Watch video to open SFM hammer (Via launch SDK). File<Open, find the .vmf of map and open it.
-Hold and drag over the entire map view, selecting the whole map, and press the copy button on the top toolbar in hammer.
-[File<new] this creates a new map, without closing the prior one.
-Use the paste button, and paste the entire map into this new empty .vmf
-Move the whole selected map as needed to center it (if necessary, or just leave it as is.)
-Here is what I deleted from my original map (ALL TRIGGERS, CLIP BRUSHES, and sounds.) I only left lighting, and the main fog_controller, tonemap, etc.)

Itzz_Brave, I only used hammer, no blender. I spend 2 days trying to recreate how I managed to import it into SFM without an error.
No one has told me any issue with my SFM import, so im assuming my method worked decently.

TL:DR
I opened map file in SFM hammer, copied map in hammer, and created a new vmf to paste it into. Running the new vmf somehow worked for me, while running original non copied vmf, does not work.
{IMPORTANT, if you used custom materials, go to "steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\usermod\materials" and copy/paste your maps material folders in there}
Please let me know if this works for you. If it does not, im sorry but I dont know of any other way.

But SFM doesn't have enough maps though, Gmod has billions of maps and Source Film Maker does not have very many maps which I'm very disappointed with, we need a lot more maps for SFM I mean come on people!

Fandroid-Fan25, I'd rather not upload someone elses work. I might import them later if I get permission, but Im rather busy trying to get a job, so I wont be focusing on maps stuff for a while (A year at least.).

can you please tell me how to port maps to sfm, im pretty sure you used blender for this map so can you tell me how exactly you've done it?
