@Mamba Thanks for the advice, I will start using some of it until I eventually get good. :D

@Chochette When you have a good idea of what your map will look like, you are good to start detailing one area at a time from lower elevation to high elevation (sand -> mountains). If you need more detailed advice feel free to ask or looks at my newest maps (The Sellsword's Coast) for inspiration. Hope to see some cool maps from you sometime!

@Chochette What would you like to know specifically? (ex: topography, rivers, coasts, mountains, etc). If I were to give you some general advice, I'd start of by sort of brainstorming by using the moderate ocean terrain (getting to know what the coasts and general outline of the world looks like) and then the shallow water once you get a good grasp on what you want to create. Then I would use sand terrain to start making actual coastlines and such. I'd advise you to not use the big brushes when creating your coastlines because it looks amateurish and unrealistic. Once you start shaping coastlines you should also start planning where you rivers are gonna be, but remember than rivers will come from your mountains or somewhere of the map so don't define them until you know what you're gonna do with the topography and such.

Do you have any tips for landscaping? I am trying to learn how to make a decent map and pretty much any info would help.
