A Complete rework of all weapons except the GL and M60 for expert playthroughs. Have you felt that some guns perform way better than others? i've taken a sweep to all the guns and changed them to perform in various ways for different situations to help bring some more guns into the meta based on how you find yourself in a campaign. I won't go through every exact change but i will give you the design behind each weapon change. All weapons have had damage boosts, recoil reworks, penetration stats and more focused on. These guns are meant to be somewhat balanced but they can feel powerful at times. honeestly i've recieved so much negative feedback about this from people i regularily play with im not really focusing on this one anymore and have created a much simpler alternative version here https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3093153050

REMEMBER THAT SCRIPTS ONLY WORK ON SINGLEPLAYER/LOCAL SERVERS

TIER 1: all tier 1 guns Reload and Deploy faster across the board

Guns with no penetration can not shoot through doors or walls to kill infected. some can still actually penetrate zombies.

PISTOLS:

Dual pistols: Offer up more Damage at 80 making them able to 2 hit commons but can no longer penetrate and all recoil has been eliminated. they fire much faster and deploy almost instantly. Easy to handle being accurate all the time making them good for running and gunning. These are meant to be used over the magnum when you find yourself more mobile.

Magnum: Already so busted its meta i've attempted to harm it without making it useless. damage has been upped to 145. It can penetrate 5 zombies now without losing damage with increased effective range but suffers from being heavy and a little sluggish now with increased spread while moving, bigger recoil when firing and more spread between shots, it's firing speed has been reduced aswell. this makes it worse than the pistols when run and gunning but great for using to defend a position.

SMGS

Uzi: Damage has been upped to 32 with its firerate slightly reduced but still has the fastest of the smgs. it is way less accurate while moving and has increased spread per shot slightly, but has increased stationary accuracy and increased effective range.

Mac10: This weapon has been completely changed in function. its suppressor has been repurposed for stability over damage giving it no recoil while firing, Slightly better accuracy while moving with better range and increased damage to 36 with a bigger clip of 60 rounds. the trade off however is that it can no longer penetrate through zombies so you can only hit 1 target at a time during hordes.

MP5: This smg is all about stability. It's damage has been upped to 40, it's penetration power (damage after penetration) has been slightly increased and range increased greatly. It has greatly reduced spread, and movement spread aswell as almost no recoil. It's clip has been reduced to 40 rounds and its fire rate has been lowered

SHOTGUNS
All shotguns can still crown the witch. all Shotguns have massively increased damage but way lower effective range giving you a risk/reward feel of getting up close to things. the main difference between pumps and autos is pumps do more damage but have less pellets making them inconsistent.

Pumpshotgun: It's damage has been upped to 80 and pellets decreased to 6 with it now being able to penetrate through 4 zombies with better retained damage but the lowest range of all shotguns at 650 and a reduced clip of 6. the spread has been made much wider so it can clean up hordes better.

Chromeshotgun: a good mid range high damage shotgun. damage has been upped to 73 with a reduced 6 pelllets, better penetration damage and a Range of 1100 having the highest of the shotguns, with its clip reduced to 6. Spread has been tightened greatly making it the most accurate shotgun at mid range.

Autoshotgun: it's damage has been upped to 48 with 10 pellets and its spread tightened significantly and a range of 900. it's great for clearing out hordes at a safer distance than other shotguns.

Spasshotgun: Basically a faster firing though lower damage pump. it's damage has been upped to 48 with 12 pellets and a range of 850. It's spread has been greatly increased and it penetrates through 3 zombies with better retained damage.

SNIPERS: each sniper is intended to be an upgrade over the previous one.

Huntingrifle: Fire rate has been increased and reserve ammo increased to 180 with it no longer able to penetrate. it's range is 7000. really not much to change as its the starting sniper.

Scout: it's damage has been upped to 165, It now has an increased fire rate and can penetrate through 3 targets with full damage. it has reduced spread and movement spread with a range of 8000

Militaryrifle: damage has been upped to 225 and penetration increased to 4 with full damage. its clip has also been reduced to 20 and reserve ammo reduced to 150. It's range is 9000

AWP: Damage has been increased to 450. Boasts infinite penetration with full damage and highest range of 10000. Firing speed has been increased and clip size reduced to 10 with reserve ammo also reduced to 150

RIFLES

M16: In need of love after being forgotten for the Ak47 the m16's purpose is now reliability on the move. It's damage has been increased to 57 with a Greatly reduced spread, no recoil and no loss of accuracy while moving with an effective range increase and reduced spread per shot.

AK47: Damage has been upped to 83 with an increase in firing speed at the cost of way less accuracy while moving, decreased accuracy while standing and crouched and more spread per shot. basically a high damage but shorter range rifle unless lasers are gotten

SCAR: This weapon has been remade with a new purpose of being a long range assault rifle. It's damage has been upped to 60, it's spread lowered and boasting the best range of the assault rifles at 7000. It's firing speed has been reduced giving it the feeling of being full auto rather than burst fire making it good at long range sustained fire.

SG552: One of the rare spawns this gun has been remade to be a horde clearing gun. It's damage has been upped to 45 and it can now penetrate through 4 zombies with great power. it's spread and movement spread have been reduced slightly. It's clip size has been reduced to 40 and its firing speed slightly lowered giving it the lowest DPS of the rifles.

Grenade Launcher and M60 remain unchanged as there are so many different things for them already on the workshop and i honestly don't know how i want to balance them and they are more complicated to tinker with than other weapons.

This is by far, the best rebalance mod I've seen so far. All the guns have been buffed in such a way that gives them a new purpose without making them OP. I like that this pack made the M16 viable, 1.5 mags to kill a tank is insanely good.

Well the thing is tanks can be interesting to fight with horde but alone become a chore.
Just get at high ground or to an open space (let's not forget the team may have to backtrack.)
At least now tank isn't a slow dangerous situation but instead a faster one (like a witch.)

no i neever wanted to touch ammo amounts. i only did so eventually after multiple testing. my suggestion is if tanks and stuff are too easy to kill download a Hell Mode addon which increases the tank health

The game is so much less difficult with the increased power of the gun rounds that special infected, including tanks, are killed quickly on the highest difficulty.:lunar2019laughingpig:
Would it be possible to tweak the magazine capacity of automatic weapons to 30 round magazines? This would give the player a little more tension when dealing with the larger number of normal infected. without reducing the power of the gun.

The pistols became top tier on fun, just like L4D1 pistols.
