Advanced Commercial Servers (ACS)
Generate resources with data-center flair. Build server racks, install servers, feed them power, manage the heat, and watch the goods roll in.

What’s New — October 2025
RimWorld 1.6 support (with an 1.5-compatible build maintained).
Core refactor for the generation system: cleaner architecture, fewer edge-case bugs.
Custom resource list is now persistent across saves/restarts (no more disappearing choices).
Resource settings fixed: values reliably apply and serialize as expected.

Generatable Resources
Using the servers, you can generate any of the items below (and more via the mod settings):

  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Jade
  • Plasteel
  • Steel
  • Industrial Components
  • Spacer Components
  • Neutroamine
  • Uranium

How It Works
Server Racks hold up to 12 servers. Each server contributes:
  • Power draw (Watts) → adds to rack power use
  • Calculating power (THz) → increases generation speed
  • Heat → scales from power use; manage with cooling!
Generation scales with the summed calculating power across all servers in a rack. The system considers item market value to keep outputs balanced (expensive items take longer).

Servers
There are three server tiers. Mix and match to taste—everything stacks in the rack.

Basic Server
Description: Entry-level compute module.
Cost: 50 Steel, 3 Industrial Components
Power: 200 W
Calculating Power: 1 THz
Research: ServerBasic

Advanced Server
Description: More throughput, more draw.
Cost: 70 Steel, 5 Industrial Components, 2 Spacer Components
Power: 500 W
Calculating Power: 3 THz
Research: ServerAdvanced

Glitterworld Server
Description: Top-shelf compute from the glittering elite.
Cost: 50 Plasteel, 5 Industrial Components, 5 Spacer Components
Power: 1200 W
Calculating Power: 8 THz
Research: ServerGlitterworld

Heat & Power
Heat output is directly tied to power consumption. High-tier stacks run hot—design proper cooling or expect toastier colonists.

Boosting Research
All operating Server Racks contribute their combined research speed. Place a rack adjacent to a High-Tech Research Bench to tap into the networked bonus.

Configuration (Mod Settings)
Custom Resource List: Add nearly any item to generate. This list now persists correctly.
Balance Controls: Adjust generation multipliers and behavior.
Heads-up: Some items don’t behave well when spawned (quest items, unique gear, etc.). If something seems off, remove it from your list.

Compatibility
RimWorld: 1.6 (current) and 1.5 (maintained build).
As always: back up your save before reshuffling mods. If updating from old ACS, let the game load fully so settings migrate.

Notes & Tips
  • Output scales with total THz in a rack—denser racks, faster results.
  • Power and cooling are the real bottlenecks. Plan your grid and vents early.
  • If a generated item acts weird, it probably shouldn’t be spawned. Remove it in settings.

"Also your are most welcome to contribute to the project on GitHub, see already thought of enhancements[ github.com ] if you want to help." You can update it yourself but I will upload a update tomorrow for 1.5 and 1.6

ur most welcome to join me and if your contribution is a larger one then u will also be accepted a co-author of the mod :)

DDoS attacks, ransom demands, termite/nanite infestion, server maintenance/ faulty server units, need for firewalls, need for uplink speed and upgrades, other global events affecting generation speed, terminal for unified resource output/progress if selected, maybe orbital drop deliveries of resources for more "realism"
and some more ideas:)
but I will not have time to develop them in the foreseeable future and I only had time to play roughly two weeks this year RimWorld soooo yeah please feel free to support this mod
just open a pull request on GitHub with your feature or update :)

Hello, any chance that the ThingDef list not being saved/loaded bug can be fixed?
Not a massive breaking problem as the default list is good enough, but it would be a nice QoL to not having to redo the settings and lists on reloading a save.
