Yes in fact for the kenshi animals like beak things, doggos, spiders, etc. Not anything modded like the Rancors. Totally safe to run with kathun and reworked.
I had one save that I had imperial storm troopers start, got beep, went to mourn and built a beak thing army to protect the decrepit town.
Oh I forgot. I use the TameBeasties mod from Petrus.91
this mod lets you put kenshi animals in cages and tame them but it also adds a lunchbag sold at bars and farm shops. This lunchbag is a small backpack for any animal and it fits 4 stacks of foul meat. The Rancors can use these said backpacks if you dont want to use the Rancor Backpack mod and have stat penalites
I find them from nomads traveling towns or nearby my base. Sometimes you'll even get a beast master trader coming to your outpost. As for feeding, foul meat or denta beans. I make money by collecting the weapons (sometimes armor) of enemies and sell it by using a kenshi exploit of anything put into a blaster storage it removes the stolen tag. I also run the hivers extended along with the kathun addition for it. The infected around mongrel drop some cash if youre brave enough to kill them.
yeah, I haven't had any issues with them until they were in the same squad. If both of your tammed rancors are in the same squad only 1 will do the eat animation. only upon forcing the rancor to go try and eat another body it crashed. Not sure if that was the root cause but surely 2 rancors in the same squad should be able to eat lol? Its nothing major just a little quirky thing.
I do not support non-Kathun built mods and load orders. If you go against Kiya's advice to avoid native Kenshi mods, you do so at your own peril.
