Mechit Race

描述
My modding server[discord.gg]. Please consider joining if you enjoy what I make.

A race of quirky tech felines who make it their duty to record all the universe's history and keep the records safe... er, most of them do.

This race includes:
- Custom animations, not based on anything except vanilla Starbound sprites
- Custom audio
- Transparent clothing, so you don't have super weird sprites. (The above breaks all pants and shirts- hats are untested and back items should be fine)
- 40 different head / monitor types
- Voltip pet with many colours added, including pride themed ones
- A few dialogue changes when talking to other species or to Mechit
- Altered teleport colour
- Full custom scan dialogue
- One dungeon will occasionally spawn on forest planets. It's only one building at the moment... but it's something!
- Two clothing items and some built-in Armor Adapt integration- Mechit can wear certain Floran tiered clothes, thanks to Tanz!
- Two sets of findable fossils
- Custom AI and an alternate custom SAIL mod that changes dialogue
- Playable Grimalkit, the species that Mechit evolved from (these are NOT complete)

To Do:
- Custom respawn, maybe
- Custom ship graphics, also maybe
- Racial armour / tiered armour
- More and better dialogue
- More monitor types and colours
- More added dungeons



Other Notes
- Mechit are both silly AND serious, not one or the other. You're signing up for ridiculous names, dialogue that comes across as silly or naive, and overdramatizations. You're also signing up for heartfelt lore, serious storylines, and genuine work. The two coexist here, expect that.
- The gender choice changes nothing. Both are the exact same, use the same sound bases, ect.
- This race is not Protogen-adjacent. It is not even remotely inspired by it. I wasn't familiar with them prior to this beyond knowing that they're furries. I do not want to be associated with the person who made them in any regard. Don't bring them up, please.
- I update things quite a bit. If you want to track my progress, check out the patch notes! I add things frequently.
- I give blanket support for NSFW mods and content regarding this species. It does not bother me whatsoever, I honestly find it flattering that people are engaging in my art and creations in such a way.

Okay, uh, but I don't object. In fact I support it. Whatever floats somebody else's scrote is none of my business. I draw furry porn too, lmao, I really do not care and outright voiced my support for that literally two years ago. Is that one mod canon to Mechit biology? Hell no, but again, I don't... really care that much. I find it kinda cool how different people interact with art in different ways.

Also that is also not how consent works AT ALL, but that's a whole other can of ball games.

So explicitly: not only do I NOT object to the NSFW content, I supported it years ago and have only gotten more supportive of it over time. So, yes: I give blanket permission for Mechit/Grimalkit SxB content, actually.

i feel as though i need to bring this up because there is people that will create SxB related content without asking permission... i recommend you specify in the mods description if you object to such content, clarification is always important.
