Absolutely More Cannons - CE Version (Updated to 1.4) + Menu Declutter Addon

Hello and welcome to my little modification of the Absolutely More Cannons mod for Combat Extended, 1.4 update.

Are you annoyed with a million shells taking up space in your machining table menu? Then this is the addon for you!

This addon makes it so that (mostly) every shell type is unlocked with its relevant artillery piece as opposed to having ALL of them unlocked from the get-go, so it'll be easier to navigate through the machining table's menu. I say mostly since some shells are used for multiple pieces, notably you'll need to get the M1944 BS-3 research before you can get shells for the T-54 turret, and the 15cm Tbts KC/36 research before you can get shells for the 15cm Tbts KC/36T turret. Sadly that's the extent of my script meddling, if anyone can fix this to make either/or research work then go for it! Also, some ammo is provided by CE itself (like the Bofors ammo) so that would not be tied by the cannon research.

In addition, I fixed the basic 57mm AP ammo not spawning and creating a load of log errors, and modified the 2cm unmanned autocannon be actually be usable (gave it a proper magazine and a 4 shot burst).

If you find any other guns that don't work properly please give me a shout and I'll have a look and see if I can fix anything!

PS: This addon is pretty much a modified version of AMC CE 1.4, you don't need to enable any other versions of AMC. Goes without saying this is for the CE version, so you need CE 1.4 as well!

мод сломан ♥♥♥♥♥, башни от танков херачать залпом из всех снарядов, единственное что нормально работает, это пушки с 1 снарядом и ото, но ото всегда стреляет авто огнём не зависимо от выбора огня

Hello everyone! Seems like the latest CE update messed the mod up - guns shoot ALL of their shells at the same time. I'll try to fix it but don't have a lot of time, apologies.

That's a fair point... I could potentially bump all ranges up by 25% or 50%, and upload them separately, for anyone that needs this for hardcore enemies (#VOID)

Thanks Leo, I'll tinker with the settings myself!

However, I do think that people who use AMC usually have some hardcore enemy mods loaded too, like Recon Mechhive, which are so powerful that they're not trivial opponents even with this mod. Not the biggest deal in the world, so I'll try and change it up myself.

That being said - feel free to try your own hand! If you do want to tamper with the ranges then it's quite easy - go to the mod folder, from there to \Common\Defs\ThingDefs_Buildings, then find the .xml file pertaining to your cannon. Then open that with notepad, CTRL+F Range, and modify the number to whatever you desire :D

@AlphaAmpersandOmega No worries, this is more of an addon fixing the menu clutter issue, but I also fixed a 57mm cannon from having its ammo spawn into the void hahah.

While I agree that cannons would outrange most things (and with some addons some are lower range than certain sniper rifles), I'm not too much into messing with the game balance, especially since I had a couple of 2cm autocannons and an AEC deacon neutralise a mech node with no help at all! And, well, it does feel like mechs need to be a proper threat to the colony - with guns that would snipe them from across the map it'd make them a bit trivial :D

If it's not too much to ask, could you consider upping the range on most turrets? It always annoyed me even the 40mm ones were outranged by mechanoids turrets, whereas in reality they should have ranges of over a kilometer.
