SS Flinders Bay

From what are considered the first fully cellular container ships with a capacity of over 1,000 TEU, the Flinders Bay was one of the vessels built for OCL in the late 1960s. 4 of 5 of her sister ships had been re-engined to diesel, but the Flinders Bay remained steam powered until her demolition in 1996. She spent her whole life sailing the Far East route from Europe to Australia and eventually New Zealand.


This vessel is a small size scaled down replica.
