History:

The AIM-152 AAM was a long-range air-to-air missile developed by the United States. The AIM-152 was intended to serve as the successor to the AIM-54 Phoenix. The program went through a protracted development stage but was never adopted by the United States Navy, due to the ending of the Cold War and the reduction in threat of its perceived primary target, Soviet supersonic bombers. Development was cancelled in 1992.

The AIM-152 is a multi-use missile that's primary function is a BVRAAM or Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air missile. It can hit extremely maneuvering targets over huge distances up to 20KM away. The further the target is, the faster and more accurate the missile gets. It can still hit targets from close range but I do not guarantee it. It uses a 2-stage radar system that allows for close to long range engagements. You can select its launch delay by selecting the invisible capacitor behind the intake if you are launching it from a weapons bay. It has the ability to hit Level 12 targets while going speeds of Mach 2+. Trust me, it makes up for its size!
