Using "High Physics" is not necessary but recommended!

The SSN-2 Is a nuclear powered submarine part of the (fictional) XK-Class, carrying 14 radar guided vsl missiles, 2 Torpedos and a deck gun with a top speed of 60 knots! (170kts underwater)

How to get inside:
  • Locate the hatch on the left or right side of the submarines conning tower.
  • Open the hatch and climb inside
  • Inside, enter the hatch infront of you and then open the one on the floor next to the helm. This will lead you to the main stairwell

Operating the Nuclear Reactor:
  • Head to the back off the submarine and enter the nuclear control room
  • Everything should already be ready to start the reactor upon spawning
  • Simply press the unlocked button called "Instert Fuel Rods" and wait for the boiler temperature and pressure to rise
  • Open cycle mode reroutes the boiler steam output to a fluid port and the water input from the condenser to a pump powered water input. (This is usefull for making steam pressure more stable or refill the boiler fluid volume quickly)
  • To turn it off disconnect the fuel rods and raise the Fuel Rods out of the reactor

Diving & Manouvering Thrusters:
  • There are manouvering thrusters for both turning and diving
  • The controls are split up into 2 seat which represent steering and diving (The Manouvering thrusters are also tied into this control scheme)
  • To dive, fill both the bow and stern ballast tanks until the submarine is level and has reached neutral bouyancy (I recommend first filling the bow ballast and then the stern one, it may need some trial and error until youve achieved neutral bouyancy)
  • You can either use the diving manouvering thrusters to change pitch on the spot or move up/down on inverted throttle, or you can use the diving control surfaces to control pitch
  • Depth hold only works while the submarine is moving forwards
  • I dont recommend using depth hold to reach a depth which you arent currently at, as the system doesnt account for pitch tilt and oversteers
  • Using the Electric Motor boost might cause the submarine to ascend

Using the VSL Missiles:
  • Using the target designator, simply point in the direction of the ground target (large ship for example)
  • Open the missile hatches (can open underwater too)
  • Make sure youre less than 2.2 km away from the target (Radars have a bad range i know)
  • Flip the "Master Arm" switch and fire single or double missile rounds (currently the designator seat says space to fire which is not true, you need to press the buttons)
  • Caution: Make sure the submarine is perfectly level, not moving and wind levels are low while fiering missiles (May lead to unplanned explosion or the missile could turn the wrong way)

They uh, possibly still don't fire. I'm stationary, locked, master arm is on, and I'm pressing the fire button. The counter goes down and goes back up again. If anything changed about what you need to do to launch can you tell me?

Rookie took me long enough, but i added much more rigid checks during the missile launch but had to remove the double launch option. Theres a cooldown of about 3.5 sec per missile launch. If no missile launches the count should automatically go back up to its value before the launch like it should

The missiles don't launch. I've followed the instructions, but the counter goes down without launching any missile.

is there a way of making the missiles go higher up before turning? they go like 10 feet above the ocean and they slowly go down which then it hits the water and go boom boom.
