Large Storage Crates

No worries, glad its working ! :D

Looks like that save was just funky, worked fine in the new one (both current and in experimental/the family update). My bad!

Its possible they were learning the previous research needed to build the crate itself. Which might look like its stuck in a loop. Double check the Learning menu to see.

Current version and just yours, it was about 5-6 days with a 14 building noble; started a new game so I'll try again to see if I was just unlucky or something.

Which game version, any other mods?

My nobles keep researching the crate over and over again without ever ending. (action completes, then repeats)

@Vane More so meant to be an alternative path to making storage. Probably better idea to have them expand on the shelves instead.

I believe you've overbalanced them. 4 shelves can fit into 1 grid square, and 4 tall shelves hold 4x4 = 16 item slots. And shelves only cost wood. Crates, on the other hand, cost wood, copper, silver, gold, per tier respectively and only silver crate holds more than 4 tall shelves per square. And silver and gold are way more expensive than wood, so there's basically no incentive to build crates.

Satoru, what would I have to edit to make the basic chest crafteble with skill 1?
