NA Atlantic Locomotive No 3028

4-4-2 Atlantic A-3 Class Locomotive built by the American Locomotive Company’s Schenectady Works in 1904 and operated express trains capable of up to 100 MPH.

Made to be easily driven with a fully labelled cab, where the engineer must only fill the firebox during normal operation in warm climates. Automatic temperature and pressure regulation. Firebox holds 37 coal resulting in roughly 10-15 minutes between refiling, and enough water in the tender for 2-3 hours of running.

1) Turn on Ignition.
2) Wait for the boiler to reach 60 pressure.
4) Release brake and increase throttle!

Advanced Operation

The red valves can be used to increase boiler temperature, decrease time to bring the boiler to temperature, and for use in the artic where the engine struggles to maintain boiler temperature. As boilers no longer explode, it is safe to keep these open at all times, however it may result in higher coal consumption.

Stoker Booster Valve: Increases firebox airflow/temperature
Boiler Heater Override: Increases hot water supply to the boiler
Dynamo Valve: Can be closed to divert steam away from the dynamo

No. 3028 was built to pull the Northern Atlantic Lines luxury express train the “Starlight” between Sawyer Island, Isle of Donkk, and the artic region at speeds in excess of 90 MPH. Might be phased out in favour of an oil burning locomotive.

(The fictional) Northern Atlantic Lines and locomotive are based on Southern Pacific Lines No. 3025 and Lark express passenger service. Painted in a blue livery inspired by the classic Great Northern steam locomotive livery.

Sorry it took so long to update/fix this locomotive, I did not plan on it but the support for this project was too much not to! It This was my first proper Stormworks project and I spent ~500 hours on it so when the pressure update broke it I was not prepared to fix it. Thank you all for the support!
