TN-1 Interloper Themed Shackles

Finally a Vortigaunt shackle that doesn't look like doo doo

Has cool green tubes that come out, and actual textures instead of solid emerald glowing glass! The design is meant to represent the Interloper styled technology so that it feels appropriate for why the vortigaunts wear it, which also makes it lore friendly! Also because it doesn't look like Gaben turned his bong into the armor for his alien slaves.

To-do list for design:

1. Fire will come out of those two tubes on the side of the shackles when the vortigaunt is possessed

Mechanical reason:
It looks cool. Also adds a unique element to Interloper so when you see it happening you're like OH SHIIIIII !!!

Lore reason:
Idk uhhhh the vortessence is being expelled out of them during the posession, Bane's venom is a painkiller that actually causes severe memory loss hence the design and the reference to TN-1, the vortigaunts are basically having their soul drained out of them during posession making it easier to be controlled but also it looks cool.

2. Jigglebones for tubes

This will fix the clipping issue with the torso

3. Texture Enhancements

I want to change up the textures to be better as I work on this, for example I want the tubes on the sides to have a netting around them so that they resemble more of the interloper tubings around the factory. I also want to fix the lighting on the shackles, give them a bit of damage and blemishes so that it has some more texture, and on the off chance that I can make it work I'd like to have those emblems on the side be a bit randomized so no two vortigaunts have the same graffiti on them, adds a bit of individuality to the vorts to express that social creature factor

4. Spine and Arms

My final changes are going to be adding some more model pieces to the bracelets and adding a spine running down the back of the vortigaunts like the cybernetic implant from Cyberpunk Edgerunners, it adds some more uniqueness to the design as well as looking sick af




This mod is open to be worked on by anyone, I would like for this to be a community effort and you will receive full credit for providing additional support for this mod. We all want a better vortigaunt shackle, right now this is a proof of concept for what is possible when we abandon the idea of our xenian friends being locked up in frozen Floridian water!
