PingWorks FB-2

The PingWorks FB-2 was a built for a government request for fast bombers. It was developed right before the beginning of the Second World War. The concept was to have a plane with minimal defensive armament and rely on being able to outrun intercepting aircraft. In the New Maurian Air Force the airframe proved to be versatile with a dedicated night fighter variant also being produced. Pilots thought the FB-2 was too refined for a military aircraft. It flew like civilian planes and instilled almost too much confidence in pilots. One serious issue that the FB-2 faced during service was lack of a bombsight. New Mauria did not have a bombsight at the time of development, and once the New Maurian Airforce finally developed a bombsight, the FB-2 never received any. The FB-2 was supposed to be phased out and putting bombsights on the aging airframes seemed like a waste of money. However, the FB-2 was kept in service much longer than expected and the lack of a bombsight severely limited the combat effectiveness of the plane.

- The weapon selection system shows the pylon selected left to right, with 1 being the furthest left pylon and 8 being the furthest right
- The only guns on the plane are the two MGs on the rear turret for defense. There is no frontal armament
- On key turns on the engine and avionics
- Flaps cause significant pitch up and should be used with caution
- Gear lights automatically turn off when the gear is pulled up
- The radio frequency can be changed with a number pad directly to the right of the seat
- Radio transmits when button 3 is pressed
- The engine WEP can be toggled by pressing button 2. This toggles a gearbox to the propeller which decreases the load on the engine allowing it to rev higher
