Try and fix the thralls, and make the faction visible.
I really, really like the idea behind it.

It's an invisible faction, but I've been tempted to rework this mod again and remove the broken thralls so that their are just Xithid in the faction.

Not sure if this is some kind of conflict or my own ignorance of how the game/mod works, but I seemingly can never get Xithid hives or factions to spawn, even when they are explicitly listed in the list of factions to be generated.

I was able to load my save just fine when I updated it so it shouldn't be a problem for you. This update specifically adds stuff and doesn't take anything anyway. The only real difference you'll see is that newly generated Xithid have different genes.
