Updated, Map name changed to rp_salem_rsrg
Sorry, felt tying to a game mode rather then the role play tag could cause issues.

The first map I've actively developed from start to 'finish' so I expect some issues, clipping, and optimisation issues.
I'd appreciate any bug reports submitted though I may not have enough time or know how to address them all.

Originally intended for use with a Fallout gamemode but now published to the workshop so it can be used anywhere you'd please. Some areas would have used the gamemodes functions such as teleporters and entry doors, so I may look to just add those in if this map sees any life.

Map Features

  • Fully Nav-Meshed boy that was a pain.
  • A dark urban setting following years of abandonment and bombardment.
  • Small bandit encampments scattered about.
  • A trench system inspired by Fallout 3.
  • Residential area with interiors.
  • A rather sloppy power station.
  • Lighting and radiation effects strewn about.
  • Two spawn encampments.
  • Collapsed buildings, some with interior slanted spaces.
  • A few interior structures underneath the map for propping.
  • Small shopping area that has been fortified
  • A empty factory
  • Plenty of space for any additions or camps

  • The Fallout Resurgence team for assisting with testing, ideas, and helping me learn to port models and collisions.
  • Trench for teaching me the ins and outs of map making, even if I have likely forgotten a lot of it.

Wow, kinda surprised this is getting some looks and downloads, I appreciate it, its giving me more then enough of a reason to check in each day for bug reports and feedback. I figured next step will be re-implementing a lot of the stuff I cut out like a control room for effects and more. I'll be sure to make it a worthwhile update, don't want to keep pushing updates each day haha. Cheers

So after a long period of dark rituals and esoteric chanting I hopefully have node graphs working on this map. It involved gnomes, caffeine, and a 24 hour loop of 'Hey Ya!'

Great map, dunno why the guy below is such a dick but you or anyone else could optimize this map easily by embedding func_occluder/occluder brushes in the prop buildings so players aren't rendering what they can't see.

Look into ' rp_2300_vfinal ' if you want a large fallout map. I cant get in touch with this map's maker to help him fix it. And i wont just take other people's stuff and use it without their say.

rp_2300_vfinal is very highly optimized, made to run 128 players, and consists of 6 technical map layers. is noded and naved.

Hey Malum, was wondering if you'd be down to sharing the vmf of the map. I wouldn't be sharing anything without your consent and simply needed the environment edited for a test. Totally understand if not.
