Penalties still apply, but it's more efficient to expand, for ex., Titanium mining fleet instead of upgrading to Naonite.
You could even just stop upgrading miners there and trade resources instead.
Yeah, that's intended, values were carefully picked. Overall resource income is still better, but it's cost effective to use lower tier mining ships.
This change falls into "everything has a purpose" category, so even iron mining can be your main source of income at later stages.
From what I've seen, most players still pick vanilla approach. But there's really nothing forcing you to go one way or another anymore. This probably works better for mining than salvaging though.
Thanks that worked, managed to spread them a little more so that should help with them selfdestructing.
i've a different question, regarding the raw salvaging/mining lasers efficiency, is it intended that the efficiency DROP the higher material you go ??? iron salvagers have 96%+ while trinium ones have 50%, is that to compensate the usually smaller ship sizes in the early stages ?

what it does now is pass location offset to second function, but you should be able to easily change that
Is there any way to edit the spread for the torpedoes when using the split system ? as they fly paralel to each other and virtually in the same trajectory, i'm running into the issue of them destroying each other when intercepted. i wanted to make it kinda of a petal spread when they split, with a slight angle to make them fly in different trajectories. is it possible to make that ?
It works completely fine as far as I can tell, got a server running it for over a week now.
