This mod is something I made for my own convenience to free up hotbar space by making a few different items one-handed. Hopefully some of you will find this useful as well!

The main intent of this mod is to convert items with only one function into one-handed items. This includes objects that can only be placed in the foreground such as platforms, torches, and crates, as well as tools with one function such as watering cans, hoes, and bug nets. I plan on expanding this mod by adding in new foreground items such as beds and additional storage objects as I get time.

Every type of platform, as well as torches, tools (watering cans, hoes, bug net, pickaxes, drills, mining laser, explorer's lantern), crop seeds, flares and a few placeable light sources (mostly lanterns) are all now one-handed.

Pickaxes use left hand for foreground tiles, right hand for background tiles. If you find this inconvenient let me know in the comments and I'll make a version without the pickaxes and drills included just for you. The mining laser by default can only mine foreground tiles, but now you can equip a laser in your left hand and a good pickaxe in your right hand to compensate!

If anyone has a request for an item to be added to this mod, or any issues with its functionality, please leave a comment and I'll try to get it taken care of for you.

Rusty/Composite Rails and Platforms, and Rail Trams
Rail Stop, Rail Tram Stop, Rail Bumper, Rail Sensor, and Rail Switch

Added support for the most common chests and crates:
Chests: Wooden, Iron, Old, Hi-Tech (Blue&Green), Pod, Weapon, Stone, Mining, Rock
Crates: Small and Large Wooden (Both natural spawning and craftable types), Metal, Primitive, Wooden [box1], Secure Wooden [box2]

Added support for the remaining crates, as well as storage-type barrels.
Crates: Astro, Station, Industrial, Lunar Base, Metal Cargo, Short Metal Cargo, Rusty, Small Rusty, Mining Supplies, Copper, Wrecked, Treasure Filled
Barrels: Small, Large, Treasure

Added support for all remaining chests, as well as all storage lockers and ship lockers.
All objects with "chest" in their name should now be one-handed! Too many to list, all 50 of them.
All racial Storage Lockers, racial Shiplockers (obtainable via /spawnitem or mods), as well as Astro and Industrial Storage Lockers.

Does this include blocks? It would be nice if I could place blocks while using the grappling hook.

By the picture.. I can't imagine using a plow with only one hand, so i'll correcting it for my own use, but in general it's very nice stuff, thank you!

I just keep a pick in the left for mining and a torch or rope in the right but that's a personal preference. You can swap them if you plan on doing a lot of background mining or use the MM if you want.

Ohh right pickaxes need both hands, forgot about that oh well.

Can't believe I missed the regular platform! I needed sleep I guess 😂
Pickaxes should all work fine as long as you have them in the appropriate hand (left for foreground tiles, right for background tiles)
Removing relocator for now, I didn't realize it probably uses left and right hands for two different functions.

I've noticed that the Relocator doesn't work while this mod is active.
