Some history
UAZ-3907 "Jaguar" - a Soviet floating vehicle (amphibian), created at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), in 1976-1990, based on the units of the UAZ-469 off-road vehicle.
This car was not mass-produced.

The design of an amphibious vehicle was started by the designers of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in 1976. By 1989, 14 prototypes were made. The vehicles were successfully tested and were put into service. During the tests, the car sailed along the Volga from Ulyanovsk to Astrakhan and back. However, in 1991, having lost the prospects for a military order, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, on its own initiative, stopped preparing for the production of an amphibious vehicle.

In the design of the UAZ-3907 Jaguar amphibious vehicle, the engine, transmission units and chassis from the UAZ-469 off-road vehicle were used. Displacement body - original design, with two hermetically sealed doors.
