Time to refine 3 slags reduced about 33%

Ever wondered why only ship chunks yield components while steel slag chunks don’t? After all, these chunks likely originate from machines and structures that once contained essential components, like transport pods, which require components to function. This mod brings balance to the wasteland: steel slag chunks now have the potential to yield components when refined.

You have 2 choices of slag refinement.
1 Steel Slag = 1 Component.
3 Steel Slags = 3 Components.

You can refine steel slags into components on:
Stonecutter table
Fueled and Electric Smithy
And of course Electric Smelter!

Except for the stonecutter which is the slowest, all the others have pretty much the same refining work speed.
I made it so no matter what you happen to be having, you will be able to make components.

The process isn’t just fair, it’s more balanced than you might expect. Refining steel slag chunks yields only 15 steel, while crafting components in the late game typically costs just 10 steel each. This mod is designed to assist in the early game, providing a lifeline when you’ve run out of components and need a little extra help to get back on track. It's a safety net for when things don't go quite as planned, without disrupting the late-game economy.

The mod plays perfectly fine with 200+ mods and Biotech DLC as well.

Don't worry, I like feedback such as yours, especially when it's about making it better, or adding extra useful things.
Back then I was just making whatever idea was coming to my head to basically learn the very basics of XML modding for Rimworld.
Once again, your idea is solid.

dontget me wrong the idea is good but somemay consider a componet per slag op.
at least a 25% chance of one seems resonable up to 75% chance.

@GodlyAnnihilator Thanks man! I think its a very good mod, getting components to make into advanced ones in the late game gets to be a pain. Slags to components is mega useful.

Haven’t tried it. But I’ve made it quite simple so I doubt it doesn’t work. I didn’t bother to update because I didn’t see anyone asking for it. I see what I can do after work.
