The guide attempts provide directions, hints or even direct location to find all secrets in Hrot Episode 3: The Gastroscopy as well as achievements hints for specific levels. If you are looking for other episodes secrets, see links below.

The list of secrets and achievements is in the order you can usually first find them (but not necessarily order of solving them).

Before you visit the secrets location on the maps or continue reading this guide, I would suggest trying to find the secrets on your own first, they are usually not too difficult. :)


The guide is divided in chapters, one each for specific map of the Episode 3: The Gastroscopy.

Each chapter is divided in multiple sections:

• Brief information about the level
  
• Level specific achievements, if any
  
• List of secrets where the secret reward is revealed, but the actual hints are hidden under blacked-out spoiler, requiring you to hover over the blacked-out section to reveal the text.
  
• Under the spoilers you can find a small hint that should help you find the secret on your own first, or another more detailed hint second.
  
• Picture of the in-game map of the level with marked locations of secrets numbered to corresponding secrets. The map can contain achievement or special locations as well.

In case you can't find the secret(s), I suggest following these steps:

1. Check what secret reward you are missing and refer to the small hint.
   
2. If you can't find it after reading the small hint, either read the second part of the hint, providing clearer and more detailed description,
   
3. or look up the secret location on the map. You can open the in-game map by pressing M key (default binding) in game.

Of course it's entirely up to you if you will use map first or if you want just a small hint.

Find the toy and spin it.
You may need to wait a few seconds of it spinning to get the achievement.

Surprise the newt in the cabin.

Hint: You need to make the newt fall down the toilet.
Tip: Use sickle on the wooden part the newt is sitting on quickly after opening the door.
Tip 2: Quicksave before opening the door in case you fail to get it on the first try.
As noted by Miciso, this achievement can also unlock Fall achievement.

Hint: Dance at the newt rave party.
Detailed hint: Newts have a party in a cave, you can find it when in the outer area with a rocket.
Tip: Enjoy the party. Jump like madman, do some moves.

1. Car batteries
   Right at the start of the level, interact with a wall at the corner on the right side. A secret areas with a holes to look outside will be revealed.
   
2. Gold
   Before using a valve after killing bunch of newts, interact with a left corner to reveal hidden gold.
   
3. Hussite Crossbow
   After dealing with two fishes in the water, interact with a wall underwater to reveal a crossbow.
   
4. Bottle of Wine
   In the cellar with 3 bottles of wine, there is another one hidden behind an interactable wall.
   
5. Backpack
   After falling down the toilet shaft, interact with a wall on the right side in middle of the corridor towards the ladder. A secret area will reveal another ladder leading to a backpack.
   
6. Lots of gold
   Before joining newt party, there is a crack in the wall on the left side when going to the party. Break through to find gold treasure.

Hint: Start E3M2.


Shoot down a flying pigeon.

Hint: After opening a door with aluminium key and going to the roof with horse key, you can notice two pigeons. Shoot one of them down when they fly away.

Enter the sauna.

---

1. Second pistol
   Before leaving the vent shaft to the outside space, there is another on the left wall. If you break it and crawl to the other vent, you can find a second pistol.
   
2. Hidden passage behind the ambulance
   Destroy the ambulance and then interact with a wall to find a tasty canned poultry.
   
3. Bottle of wiine
   On the right side of the swimming pool there is a hole/window with an electric panel. Shoot it to open a hidden area with a bottle of wine.
   
4. Hidden 5 koruna
   When going to the swimming pool, go up the stairs. On the platform go to the left corner and interact with a wall to find a hidden spot with the coin.
   
5. Hidden yard behind swimming pool
   Destroy the clock in at the pool wall to uncover a hidden switch. Using it opens an yard with a lightning gun weapon.
   
6. Hidden locked room
   At the autodrom, there is a electric panel on one of the buildings, shoot it to unlock one of the door to the secret area. You need an aluminium key to open the next locked door.
   
7. Double score bonus
   The last secret is in the hidden area locked behind an aluminium key lock. The key can be found in the tree in front of the block, so just destroy the tree.

Kill a monster by knocking it off somewhere high with the footkick
Hint: This level makes it easy to kick someone off somewhere high.
Detailed hint: After jumping on the roof one of the blocks, you can kick down the enemies.

Find a postcard from the creators of Project Warlock 2
Hint: When entering one of the blocks, there are mailboxes.
Detailed hint: Break the mailboxes and read the postcard.

Waste three minutes watching the model railway.
Hint: Next to a poster of a horse (secret #3) there is door to a room with model railway, you can't miss it. Start the trains and just observe it for 3 minutes.

1. Hidden backpack
   Right after your surface for the first time using the stairs, there is a secret area on the left at the block of flats, right below the first line of windows from the left (windows, not balconies). Interact with it to find a backpack with ammunition.
   
2. Second Pistol
   Hint: The middle garage has a car parked inside. There is a hidden area under the car.
   Detailed hint: Destroy the car. Then you can see an electric panel behind the grating that is on the floor, shoot the electric panel as well to open the secret area.
   
3. Secret bathroom
   Behind a poster with a horse, dated 1986, there is a crack in the wall. Break through to find a secret area with 5 koruna and a washing machine.
   
4. Elevator secret area
   After you open door to elevator shaft, you can notice a different looking square above the elevator counterweight. You have to destroy the electric panel for the counterweight go slightly up so you can reach the spot.
   
5. Secret room in the block
   In the area with general store and phone booth, there is a single balcony that is accessible. It leads to a flat with a single kejdovec enemy and 1 koruna coid.
   To get there you need to reach the roof of one of the blocks again and then jump from there to the balcony.
   
6. Construction site hidden spot
   Right as you enter the construction site area, there is a lamp on the left side. Near this lamp, in the corner you can find an interactable wall. You will find some grenades there.

Note: There are in fact three dogs you can have following you at the same time, their location is a green dot on the map.

Locate the secret level


Hint: After loosing your weapons when falling down, you can notice a symbol on the wall in one of the corridors - an O crossed out by an X. Simply continue the level as usual until you can backtrack to this spot. Then should be open and you can jump down to enter the secret level.

1. Explosives
   Right after freeing the first Prague Ratter you will walk into a room with first enemies and bunch of gas cylinders (or barrels). Destroy the leftmost gas barrel to reveal a secret area behind a wall.
   
2. Secret "pantry"
   Inside the fire hose box, there is a hidden switch that opens a secret area with medal and some tasty canned poultry. You need to destroy the fire hose box to reveal the switch.
   
3. Backpack
   Interact with the wall on the left side of the locekrs to reveal a small secret area with a backpack in the room with horse calendar.
   
4. Poor little Prague Ratter
   When going back to the the metro platform from the room with the horse calendar, go to the frontmost metro car and interact with a button on the ceiling.
   The button is above the door of the first metro car, marked as a YELLOW dot on the map.
   
5. Lightning Gun
   After climbing up the metro escalators, there is an plaque of Lenin, crush it to reveal a hidden switch that opens up a hidden spot with a Lightning gun.

This is a secret level you can enter from E3M4 George of Podiebrad, see chapter above.

Free 4 ratters.
Hint: You can find up to 3 Prague ratter doggies in E3M4, they will go with you to this level. The last dog can be found in this secret level.
Tip: You might need to pet them before the achievement pops.

Shoot down a flying pigeon.
Hint: After entering the outside area, you can spot three pigeons. Shoot one of them down when they fly away.

Find Tuzex vouchers
Hint: In the office there are two desks with some folders on top of the desks.
Detailed hint: Destroy the folders to find Tuzex vouchers (bony).

Hint: You can get this achievement by playing the game in the TV studio.
Detailed hint: To get this achievement, you need to get a three of a kind.

On top of getting an achievements from the game, you can get a reward after using all 10 turns. The reward is determined based on the final score gained in the game.



- Grill: At the start of the level you can notice meat being grilled. The number of meat equals to the Prague Ratters you had with you previously...
- Aluminium key: Loot the second office room desk.

1. Land Mine
   In the underground "bunker" you have to use a switch to open a door to a common key. In the left most part of this bunker interact with a wall to open the secret location containg a land mine.
   
2. 1 koruna
   Inside the office room locked behind the common key, you can find a crack in the wall. Simply destroy it to find 1 koruna coin.
   
3. Pedros
   After killing enemies in the two rotating cilinder area, continue further in. In the corridor before the floor-grating and the rotating cilinder you can go through, there is one hidden switch in corner at the ceiling that you can interact with to let two Pedros out from a secret area. You will also find cells ammunition there.
   
4. Hidden kifli
   Before using the rusty key to a passage to the lift to the underground corridors, interact with a wall in the corner to the left of the wall the key opens.
   
5. 5 koruna
   Before finishing the level interact with a wall on the opposite side of the end level button.

   Hint: IIn the starting area, there is a stain on a wall.
   Detailed hint: The stained wall in one of the corners can be interacted with.
   
2. Backpack
   Hint: After swimming up the water shaft, interact with a wall.
   Detailed hint: The interactable wall is in the left corner when facing door.

Check the simulator
Hint: After you complete E3M8: Epilogue, go to Dank Stuff in the menu, one of the options is Orloj, select it. Then you can check out the Orloj (astronomical clock) on your own and simulate it.

This area is not accessible by default, you can only get there if you will use console command klice to provide you with all keys.

If you will do that, you can then enter and you will find a mini-secret at the end of the corridor.
