Santo Maria S/I 42-0 "Fenice" Strike Interceptor

The Santo Maria Aircraft company received an order from the Segierian Airforce, and this is what they delivered. The S/I 42-0 was a project that took the company years of development to make and it was well worth the wait


======= OVERVIEW =======


The S/I 42-0 was a mammoth task to create. Its massive engine and its small cockpit made it a big yet sleek aircraft. It was made to fit a massively powerful armament that was designed to pack a punch to bombers, tanks, and other vehicles that roamed the air, sea, and earth. When it was made it was mainly used for bomber intercepts. However the first variant, the I 42 was underpowered and prone to overheating. Its predecessor, the I 42 A, had a much larger engine yet was still slow and very prone to overheating. The next, the S/I 42, was properly powered yet would still overheat. Its final version, the S/I 42-0, while still somewhat prone to overheating, was much more controlled and only had temp issues when overworking the engine and in dry, hot environments. It’s pilots called it the “Fience” or Phoenix due to it catching fire a lot during testing. However the name stuck as it rose from a underpowered light interceptor to one of the most powerful and armed aircraft of the First Euranian War.

Takeoff is a bit weird, try to put the rudder left full while full pitch up during takeoff. Dont overwork the engine if able. And one more thing... NO INF FUEL THE ENGINE WILL EXPLODE and it REQUIRES INF AMMO
