Project: Shadow

描述
Hi everyone, today I am releasing my latest mod Project: shadow. This mod focuses on reworking the reapers. My main goal was to make the reapers more interesting to play. I also want to make the early game for the reapers to be a bit more difficult.

1. Reapers have a full skill tree now. I filled in various spaces with new perks. Various original perks have been modified or moved to different spots on the skill tree.
2. Reworked Shadow, now reapers have a bigger detection radius in the early game (They still have a smaller detection radius then your average soldier). With a certain perk you can have a super small detection radius again.
3. The reaper random deck has been expanded with new perks.
4. Reapers gain a small bit of hack each level up to be better tower hackers with infiltration.

If you try and reduce the reaper's detection radius past 100% it will break Shadow. By default the reapers gain a 45% detection radius reduction. Their is a perk that reduces this by an additional 25%. This creates a total of 70% detection radius reduction.

Do not use this along with any reaper variants or Drumax's Ghost Recon class. Instead of lowering the detection radius, Shadow makes the unit visible from about 3 miles away. I don't know if it works fine on default reapers, but it completely broke my non-standard reaper heroes

@Bawkdragon. I think both reworks are pretty good balance wise. As for activating them mid campaign its probably not the best idea.

how balanced is this and the templer rework, also how bad of a idea is it to turn this on mid game.

@Alex.S its sucks, but at least the compatibility issue has been found. Now its a case of fixing it.

@Alex.S So after talking with a fellow mod author. Iridar would probably need to work with me on finding a fix for this issue. I cannot do it Solo.

Okay, after testing around a bit (just came back to play), it seems that this mod affected the Bounty Hunter's Nightfall ability by not allowing the ability to reduce the detection radius to 1 tile around the enemy. (there's no detection radius reduction at all)

It could be a compatibility issue, and I am not sure how to alleviate the problem. Is there anything else I should add here to help you solve the issue? (if you are willing of course)

Edit: mistakenly use Shadowfall instead of Nightfall

@Alex.S You can mess with the detection radius size in the configs of the mod but doing so will break things if you do not know what you are doing. As it is shadow eventually becomes as good as vanilla and in some cases better since 70% Detection radius reduction makes civilians not reveal the reaper (unless a mod messes with civilians detection radius).

Hmm in that case is there a way to modify the reworked Shadow?

@Alex.S This mod does not affect bounty hunters since they do not use Shadow.
