This mod adjusts the strategy speed settings, adding one setting and balancing out the rest.


The timescale setting for this mod are:
  • 1x - 8 in-game seconds / 1 real-time second
  • 2x - 1 in-game minute / 1 real-time second
  • 3x - 8 in-game minutes / 1 real-time second
  • 4x - 1 in-game hour / 1 real-time second
  • 5x - 5 in-game hours / 1 real-time second
  • 6x - 1 in-game day / 1 real-time second

The base game's time setting (for comparison) are:
  • 1x - 1 in-game seconds / 1 real-time second
  • 2x - 1 in-game minute / 1 real-time second
  • 3x - 1 in-game hour / 1 real-time second
  • 4x - 6 in-game hours / 1 real-time second
  • 5x - 12 in-game hours / 1 real-time second

I read this in the discord after suffering this issue myself - there seems to be a bug right now that affects timescale and planetary bombardment damage. Higher tick rates see more modules destroyed, up to an entire full module base being wiped in one or two in game days.

The workaround to avoid this is to keep your timescale set at vanilla 2 during a bombardment which in most cases will see your defense arrays fighting bombers off/only losing one module. Please don't change timescale 2 until there's more info about this/ a fix :)

This mod doesn't do anything that changes a savefile, so it should be safe to enable or disable at any time during a campaign.

I've been considering dropping the 8 second timescale so that step 2 (the max allowed when focused on a ship in close orbit) could be faster.
The reasons I haven't yet :
- I sometimes like a slow approach for the purposes of building tension when an alien fleet is approaching
- I don't know the limits of rapid camera movement that might trigger an epileptic seizure ins sensitive people

i don't really care about achievement but this will help a lot with game progress since i spend most my time wait for time to pass. also i don't think 8 in-game second is necessary?? i mean..is it?

Any way to bypass the achievement lock for using this mod? I know a lot of Paradox mods exist to do that very thing. So silly that this counts as "cheating".

I am sure the devs will do that, the game is in early access and they will fix it up with time.
