We will release the fix for sound emitters as a standalone offering when 2.0 is ready so that anyone who uses True Music can benefit from it, but 2.0 will include it so that you don't have to download both. Just bear in mind that we have no plans to permanently support True Music or act as custodians for it in its infinite undeath!
Or, to put it in a more human way, we aren't committing to maintaining True Music in any way--this is a hopefully one-time fix!
2.0 also introduces some fixes for True Music in B42. As far as we could tell, True Music B42 has serious problems with sound emitters breaking when you get too far away (so True Music players stop playing music when you get to the distance where the music would start to fade), and we fixed that!
A major upside to the rewrite is that radio stations will now be ad hoc. You can edit them without restarting your world or server, and clients don't have to download a thing from the server. Everything is host-side and realtime!
This is especially good news for servers, where we love the idea of server owners using the dialogue system to provide in-game news and info. This way, you can change your track-listing and dialogue in minutes without forcing players to restart or download anything!
It also means that you will be able to include your own items in our Easter Egg drop pool, among other things!
