A "lite version" of this mod that only changes the effects of smokeleaf is available here:

-Makes all sorts of changes to smokeleaf in a modern, version-compatible, and mod-friendly way.

-Splits smokeleaf into three varieties: red, purple, and white (hybrid). Being stoned on strains of smokeleaf affects hunger and tiredness (and has strain specific effects) and there is virtually no danger of physical addiction or damage to lung health.

- Red smokeleaf grows naturally in arid and warmer climates. It provides a much lower mood buff and lower pain relief with the benefit of causing less drowsiness.
- Purple smokeleaf grows naturally in cooler climates. It provides a somewhat lower mood buff and causes increased drowsiness but provides the highest pain relief.
-White smokeleaf is a cultivar and does not grow naturally. It has balanced effects and provides the greatest mood buff.

-Different smoking mood buffs interact and override, upgrade or replace one another. Smoking multiple strains of smokeleaf has a unique mood effect.

-Burnbongs now require a bit of every type of strain and have a unique and significant mood effect.

Changes to smokeleaf functionality include:

Joy (recreation satisfaction) gain reduced from 80% to 50%.

Original smokeleaf use effects: rest satisfaction -10% and tolerance gain 3% changed to
New white smokeleaf use effects: rest satisfaction -5%, tolerance gain 1%, hunger satisfaction -10%.
New red smokeleaf use effects: rest satisfaction -2.5%, tolerance gain 1%, hunger satisfaction -10%.
New purple smokeleaf use effects: rest satisfaction -10%, tolerance gain 1%, hunger satisfaction -10%.

Original smokeleaf high effects: hunger rate increase 30%, pain experienced -20%, consciousness -20%, movement rate -10% changed to
New white smokeleaf high effects: hunger rate increase 30%, pain experienced -20%, tiredness rate increase 10%, social fight chance -25%.
New red smokeleaf high effects: hunger rate increase 30%, pain experience -15%, tiredness rate increase 10%, social fight chance -25%.
New purple smokeleaf high effects: hunger rate increase 30%, pain experienced -25%, tiredness rate increase 20%, social fight chance -25%.

Original smokeleaf chemical effects: addictiveness 2%, minimum tolerance to become addict 15%, small chance to develop asthma or carcinoma.
New smokeleaf chemical effects: addictiveness 0%, minimum tolerance to become addict 100%, no chance to develop asthma or carcinoma.

Original smokeleaf addict withdrawal penalty: mood -20, consciousness -20%, move rate -15%, addiction decay per day 3.33% changed to
New smokeleaf addict withdrawal penalty: mood -3, addiction decay per day 20%.

[While smokeleaf use will not cause a dependency with the mod, it is still possible for pawns to generate with an existing smokeleaf dependency. It is now much less severe and clears up significantly (6x) faster.]

Threw together a very quick and dirty compatibility patch for VFE Medieval 2 and this mod to let all smokeleaf be used for hardweave

Hey! This breaks on odyssey (I don't think it does on base 1.6? Not sure). Some of odyssey code adds a Plant_Smokeleaf_Wild looking for parent PlantSmokeleaf and core's Plant_Smokeleaf adds a name attribute PlantSmokeleaf. Your replacement patch gets rid of that attribute and so odyssey crashes.

Just gotta update it to this in your PatchOperationReplace for "white" smokeleaf:
