Better Platform Falling

you could create a mod to remove items after death, its working principle is quite simple, but it would give a completely different approach to the game, if all items from the inventory were completely removed after death, it would create a positive circulation of weapons and armor, which would equalize the balance of resources and items in large modpacks

I'd like to see that variation mod, lol.

youre right, i could make another variation in the future where it simply prevents fall damage when falling like this, though rn i dont have the free time

I liked it at first. It solves the issue of taking damage randomly from descending platforms. It felt a bit too floaty for me after awhile though. My suggestion to anyone else is to try it out! It's neat little QOL mod.

A nearly essential mod, but I really wish it didn't cause you to involuntarily slide down diagonally placed platforms.

This mod is ironic to me since I wish Terraria did the opposite.
Then again, Starbound has no way to become immune to fall damage.

Doesn't work well with stairs.

@Neo_Cyber104 - Chucklefish has many other projects that didn't suffer this treatment. There was clearly more going on behind the scenes. But in the case of this game? Your feelings aren't misplaced. It was absolutely a wonderful piece of potential that got dropped before it could be polished, and the mod makers have picked up a lot of that slack for a game that's basically in maintenance mode now.

In other news, donate to your fave mod makers if you can. Helps out a lot.
