Ostauto Blitzer Duo 18-Seat Single Decker Bus

The Ostauto Blitzer Duo is an 17 Seat, plus 1 disabled seat, 2-Door Single Decker bus. The Blitzer was designed out of the neccessity for a medium capacity bus for suburban and rural public transport, where the operation of a Routemaster or Atlantean was not economically feasible. Ostauto took the base Atlantean design, and essentially chopped the second deck off, and put in additional seats in place of the stairs, as a result of it's design it has also recieved the nickname "Shortlantean". Two models are availiable to bus companies, the Blitzer, and the Blitzer Duo, the latter of which having a middle door to facilitate unloading of passengers, and the loading and unloading of disabled passengers. The Single Door Blitzer has seen primary use on rural routes, whilst the Duo is more popular in suburban and urban areas as its two doors allow for passengers to get on and off substantially faster. Although users of the Duo have noted that there is an increase in fare dodging on those routes.

Seen here is an example of the Blitzer Duo in Sawyer Island Busses Blue & white Livery, on the 131 Route to Dean Hall Mining Company, with a single advertisement board on the rear with a reminder to stay hydrated. This model features three destination boards (Front, Rear, and Left) unlike its larger brother the Atlantean's one.

HOW TO USE:

STARTING ENGINE:
- Enter bus by pressing the DOOR OPEN (5s) button to open the doors for 5 seconds.
- Open the cab with DRIVER DOOR
- BATTERY BREAKER On
- ENGINE IGNITION ON

GETTING IN GEAR:
- The Bus starts in PARK as indicated on the Gear Display, this gear automatically applies the Handbrake.
- To Enter Drive Gears press UP on your Arrow Keys whilst in Park, or whatever you have bound Axis 4 to, the Gear Display will change to 1.
- To Enter Reverse Gear press DOWN on your Arrow Keys whilst in Park, the Gear Display will change to r.

DRIVING:
- Use W to Accelerate and S to Brake.
- Use A/D to Steer
- [1], [2], and [3] control the Turn/Hazard Indicators, remember to cancel them when you don't need them again.
