About the aircraft

TR-64 is a 5th generation, twin-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, stealth VTOL combat aircraft.

"Finally the Air Force got what it asked for... a long range twin engine fighter. Free from the design constraints of the Navy's deck fighter programs

The aircraft features advanced technology derived from the TR-34 and TRX including twin-axis thrust vector system, VTOL flight and the ability to hold up to 10 missiles internally.

The aircraft can enter a hover and engage enemy ground vehicles with long range laser guided missiles commanded by the RIO, this capability is further enhanced by the internal 500 round rotary auto-cannon. Special high speed AA missiles were developed to keep pace with the aircraft's high speed.

Instructions

High physics settings are required.

Grab the handle to climb in.

Press fuel pumps, engine start and gyro. The aircraft will start at the correct throttle for VTOL mode.

Engage the lift fan for VTOL takeoff, standard helicopter controls.

Use 1/2 to control forward thrust.

Disable the lift fan during forward flight.

Disable the gyro to unlock the full flight envelope of the aircraft.

When you open the weapons bay, the RIO monitor will switch to the gimbal camera that you use with the laser guided missiles.

Refuel port is in the landing gear bay.

The radar scan range can be adjusted by keypad.

The throttle can be overclocked in editor to produce even greater top speed but the missiles will struggle to keep up with the aircraft.
